Happy Saturday

Well I had this big post made and I lost it all....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

 

Anywho....Happy Saturday to all of you!!! I want to know who braved the stores yesterday for a day of craziness to get a good bargin???? Not I for sure!

Spent the day freezing my ass off at Pioneertown and Joshua Tree....here is some proof:

Although stunningly beautiful....I am telling you...I have never been so cold! I thank Miss Rhonda for the really warm scarf she knitted me for Christmas because I stayed bundled in it the whole day!!!

What are you all up to today? Lets hear how we can vicariously live through one another in any shape or form...but NO shopping! LOL only kidding!

I was wondering where you were,  I saw your posts all over but no morning post.  Glad you had fun out at Joshua Tree.  Looks like fun but I don't do cold well myself!  We got a Wii Fit for Christmas so our entire family went through the sign up program that was a lot of fun.  Then my husband and I went to Lowes and got a bunch of projects for us to work on.  We are going to re-do my daughters room and put new flooring in and a chalkboard wall.  Then we are going to do the little girls flooring as they have yucky carpet and we found this cool peel and stick tile that looks like old rocks and going to do that in their unusual bug room.  Should be fun and it will keep my husband out of my hair this coming week.  THought we would go cheaper tile until the kids grow up a bit and then hard-wood when that happens.  Well today is house fixing up, I wi**** was warmer so I could get to the garage but it is freezing and can't spend too much time in ther.  I went on freecycle last night looking for a treadmill that someone is not using, no luck yet, but if anyone out there has one they are not using let me know, I sure could use one.  Everyone have a blessed day and do something nice for yourself.

Good morning Janie and Cali!  Great pics from yesterday Janine .. . and what an amazing rock formation!!!  You never know what you are going to find out there in the wilderness!

OK . . . I did the mall yesterday . . . but early - and it wasn't bad.  Had to get a couple birthday presents for my grandson who was 2 yesterday . . . Wall-E is one of his favorite words to say - so I had to get him a Wall-E.

But THEN . . . I took DIL and granddaughter to see Marley & Me. . . and it was NOT what I expected at all . . . and omg - I don't usually laugh or CR Y at movies . . . and the entire audience was SOBBING including ME . . . WARNING. . . it is NOT all warm and fuzzy.  Luckily my granddaughter was too young to have taken with us - and she didn't get it .. . so that was good in this instance.

I'm off to buy a dishwasher this morning before going to work at Costco . . . it sure has been good having an entire week off . . . but now back to reality.  I broke down and have turn on my heater the past couple weeks . . . but right now I could have my gloves on while I'm typing I'm so chilly (I have a rule of not over 65 and until everyone gets up, it's at 60 . . .

GOod morning Chris - I can't wiat to go see Marley & Me - I read the book and laughed and cried the whole way through so I know whats coming.  My sister and I got tickets from her daughter in law to go see it - along with my great niece (sisters grand daughter.) so will probably venture to the movies next week while she is out of school.  Have fun shopping

Great pics as always.  I didn't do much yesterday.  Worked out and then spent the rest lounging.  I did finally finish cleaning out my closet and getting the clothes ready to donate.  My mom did laundry , God bless her, and since everything I got at the LB coffee clothing exchage fit (a first) I already have items to replace it with.  I will be working on getting all of the clothes organized and put away today. 

Mom went home so it is just me and my lil one again.  I love just having mother and daughter time.

good morning janine and cali friends,
i emptied some boxes yesterday ... i hate moving with all the boxes and not having enough room for everything. we went to walmart yesterday to get a couple of things and it wasn't busy at all.. lucky i guess.. anyway tomarrow i'm driving up to see my grandmothers grave what a long trip that's gonna be.. tomarrow is the anniversy of her passing.. and then after that we are all going to my mother and fathers for our chrismas party..it should be tons of fun..well that's about it for me today i hope everyone has a great day...

Yesterday, DH, Sammi and I went for breakfast then shopping for a new pair of boots for me for my birthday. The stores were not that busy. My friend Helen came down with her DD to have Sam put a tattoo on her ankle. Later that evening, my Mom took us for dinner. mmmm

Today is the usual weekend errands and Sammi, my Mom and I are going shopping for some sweaters. I'm always so cold....

GOod morning Janine and crew - the pictures are awesome - did you create the rock peace sign yourself or did you find it out there?  I am thinking you did it.....maybe?

I stayed in bed this morning until 7:30 as it was just to cold to get up and I was all warm and cozy.  But I am up now waiting for the coffee to finish and doing laundry.  Need to strip the bed and all that domestic stuff.  I think my sister wants to go to Macys today but I don't think I am up for the mall.

I had a little wow moment yesterday - I tried on some size 14 jeans and they were to big....HUH?  Know it was at the Avenue and I can officially say that I am no longer able to shop there....I did find 2 pair that were cut way smaller and not as stretchy in size 14 that fit great....but since they have no smaller sizes there - I am done with that store.  I only went there cause they were having this great sale.  Also got 2 pair of bootie shoes (you know look like boots under jeans but aren't high) they were only $10 a pair....also 2 sweaters for only $10 each....so I scored but that will be my last trip to THe Avenue....WOO HOO.

ALso I have a bag of jeans in  my car - size 16 - that are to big so if any of my local friends - or whoever - want them they are up for grabs for sure.  I think they are from Wal Mart - 16 petite stretch but all in good shape.  There is also a pair of Lee size 14 stretch...just let me know.

Ok so yesterday - I took my car in and low and behold - after $500+ dollars it is all fixed.  Fuel injection was clogged and it needed transmission service and some other stuff..mind you it has totally low miles but I just don't drive that much....the service manager actually told me it might be because I don't drive enough...can you say road trips in the future...Janine I will be coming out for a visit....also maybe down SD way too...

Ok well the coffee is done and the clothes need to go into the dryer.

Jean- my daughter is in desperate need for pants, and she is a 14/16 petite.  I would pay for shipping or we can figure out a way to get them-  but could you save them for her?  She would be thrilled- I think she only has one pair right now.
