Recycle Christmas cards?

I am wondering what to do with the cards I received.  I used to send to my mother.  Her VFW, or was it her church group, used to cut the fronts off and put them on craft paper.  Then they would give to a local nursing home for their residents.  Does anyone do this or need the cards I have??  I do not have kids, so a craft project is out.  Are there any schools or organizations that use them?  They are all so pretty, I just hate to toss them.  And I would love to help someone else, if possible.

I put them in my ornament storage box and save for next year.  Then I cut them up and use them as gift tags.

they are great for preschools, after school programs and day care centers. They can use them for numerous things...counting, making cards, lacing, making holiday boxes etc....
Maybe you can check with a local program and see if they would like them. I would seperate the picture from the greeting that is what I do.

You can also cut them to size and use them for recipe cards.....

My Mom cuts the front off and sends them to St Jude's Childrens hospital. She started this years ago when my cousin was there as a teenager and they use them to make all sorts of things.
