Hair lose???

I lost about a third of my hair after WLS.  It has all grown back now and then some but i just wanted to share with you that my hair was always bone straight.  Now it is curlier than I know what to do with.........WLS gave me curly hair.

So you just may get your wish!

I"m so happy to hear thins, you just can't imagine!  I spend a fortune on perms and would love not to have to have a perm again. LOL

Love it!!! Had to show it to my hubby! Stopped  a really good movie to show him!!! He laughed his ass of too and hes not even bald!!

Sorry, got so distracted with the tattoo I forgot to answer the question. I am 8 1/2 months out and take my biotin and vitamins.  Lost hair from 3-7 months out.  I now have a nice long 1 inch mohawk that funs down the middle of my head.  When I put my hair in a pony tail the entire bottom part sticks out like a porky pine (sp?).  No one has noticed by me and hubby as he see the hair all over the bathroom.

BEFORE MY SURGERY MY HAIR WAS SO THIN AND NEVER GREW MUCH BELOW MY EARS. I STARTED TAKING 1000MCG BIOTIN AN MY PROTIEN AND WATER DAILY. IT FEEL OUT SOME BY 4 MONTHS THEN AT 8 MONTHS IT STOPPED AND STARTED GROWING BACK IN. 

I TOO HAVE A THYROID PROBLEM BUT NEVER THOUGHT IT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT, BUT IT VERY WELL COULD HAVE. I AM NOW 4 1/2 YEARS OUT AND MY HAIR HAS GROWN DOWN WAY PAST THE MIDDLE OF MY BACK AND ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO I UPPED MY BIOTIN TO 5000MCG. I TAKE IT WITH OUT FAIL AND MY HAIR HAS NEVER FELT OR LOOKED THIS GOOD.

OF COURSE WITH MY CARPAL TUNNEL I CAN'T DO A THING WITH IT SO I JUST PUT IT UP IN A PONY TAIL. BUT I TRUELY CAN'T BELIEVE HOW GOOD IT FEELS AND HOW LONG IT IS AND SHINNY.

WATER, PROTIEN, BIOTIN EVERY DAY WITH OUT FAIL AND AT THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY IF YOU CAN.

DON'T FRET.... IT'S FUNNY NOW I GET MY HAIR CAUGHT IN EVERYTHING AND WHEN I ROLL OVER IN BED I HAVE TUG ON IT... LOL.... OH AND THE BIOTIN AND PROTIEN IS WONDERFUL ON MY NAILS THEY GROW LIKE WEEDS.

Thank you  all for the heads up on the thyroid My is totally out of whack and I didn't even think of having it it checked...But I sure will next Monday when I go in. Thanks again.
I do get my protein and vitamins and minerals in everyday BUT I can't drink all the water we should due to the bladder disease...if I did I would be peeing 80 times a day instead of 30-40.
So people think I exaggerate the # of times I have to use the toilet but believe me 30 times a day is a really good day. And that is 24/7. Can we say sleep deprived????????

Oh and my fingernails look like crap. ANd that is a sure sign of thyriod!!! Duh.  Geeeez!!!

I had the same problem, then I started to take 5000 mcg of Biotin a day and in with in a week I saw difference.  It is working for me.  You can get it anywhere in the vitamin area.

I totally understand about the hair loss issue.  I am there with you.  Mine started at about 4 mos post op.  I am now 6 mos and it's worse than ever.  When I went for my 6mos follow up with my surgeon, I asked him about it.  He said it's from the drastic weight loss, not the anesthesia.  He said it should stop by 8-9 mos post op.  Of course if it continues the way it is now, I will be totally bald by then.  I have been taking Biotin all along. No difference for me.  I will be buying Nioxin shampoo next.  I just have to beleive it will get better.  My hair used to be so nice and full. Now I hate touching my scalp because It's so thin. 

I don't have any advise for you, but I just wanted to say I know what your feeling.  Take care
