Coming from the Midwest and German/Polish heritage . . . we eat (well I eat - my kids won't touch it) herring in wine sauce on crackers for a good luck food . . . (which I forgot to stop and buy yesterday!)

What about you?

Have a great one!

Thats so cool...I didn't know anything about good luck foods (although in my experience, ANYTHING in wine sauce tastes great...lol)
My (Irish & Swedish) family just eats to soak up the alcohol and that RARELY ends up being good luck, so no cool traditions there...BUT those addicting tofu noodles have been good luck for my weight loss...so I'm gonna go with that for my "2009 LUCKY MUNCHIES" winner!!!
Happy New Year!!

I'm Japanese and we eat sweet black beans for luck ... of course being 7 weeks post op today, I can't eat the sweet black beans this year, so I'm going to have to find another way of getting lucky!
