First off....Happy New Year ALL!
I don't post much anymore...life just gets so busy and I just don't find the time to get on here...cause then I would get nothing else done...

Anyway...just wanted to pass on a little tip for all of you that have lost lost of pounds and currently losing...make sure you get your rings sized! I lost my wedding ring in Dallas over Thanksgiving Holiday. My DH had been bugging me for months to get my ring sized becuase it was loose, and I just kept putting it off. Well it was very cold there in Dallas and we were out with friends one night and when I got back to the Hotel it was GONE!

I was (and am) devistated! Yes, its only a material thing, and can be replaced, but I LOVED my ring and frankly was pissed at myself for not getting it sized. My husband was such a sweetheart and took a couple of my other rings and went and had a new ring made for me last week and while its beautiful...its just not the same.On a side note just to give you an idea of why I did indeed needed to have my other ring sized, when he got my new ring made my finger size now is a size 6, and my old ring that I lost was a size 8.25!!!!! Yikes!
So make sure you don't let this happen to you kids!

Hope everyone here has a Happy and very prosperous 2009!

BIG Hugs,
Lisa

Happy New Year Lisa!!!

Sorry you lost your ring in Dalls and thanx for posting this tip. My rings are getting really loose, but I don't want to keep having them resized during my weight loss process. I am just very aware of my rings and very careful that I don't lose them.

HEy there Lisa - great tip.  I know once all of my good rings started getting loose I put them away.  What I wear now are some cheap ones ...Once I am all done losing then I am taking all of my GOOD rings in to be sized...like my moms wedding ring and my aunts diamond ring and so on...the really good stuff.

How you been girl....HOpe you are doing well...

Happy new year.

HI Lisa, I am so sorry you lost your rings...I was just telling my Mom that I need to take a couple rings in but my favorite one might not be sizable due to being inlaid opals. For now I ordered temporary ring sizers.

Sorry for your loss. :-(

My rings are in a container in the medicine cabinet. I will have it resized at my anniversary, which is close to one year post op.

Had to take off my wedding ring for several months...Like you, it was starting to fall of***** the wife's ok to park it for a few months.  Really wierd months it was.  Many women would make eye contact and do alittle flirting since no ring.  It could have been really hard if I wasn't grounded...and married to a great wife.  Got it resized after I started to stablize on the weight.  Good one.  Brian

Everyone:  Go to a jewelers and they sell these plastic sizers that fit inside your rings.  They're very inexpensive and will allow you to wear your rings up until the time you're at goal and can resize the rings.  A reputable jeweler will not cut your rings more than they have to as it weakens the integrity of the rings.  A simple sizer will solve your problems!
