REPOST: Welcome Newbies! Make sure you learn about the DS before choosing which WLS...

This post is a good example of why I said what I did. The majority of the people who talk about it get rude and nasty when someone posts their opinion. No one was attacking you personally, yet you feel the need to defend your surgery by saying rude things about my intelligence.

"I turned away from the DS because of the spamming of the boards on this issue"

Oh yes, excellent reason for chosing a surgery that you are going to live with for the rest of your life!  Case closed.

This post is very insulting to the intelligence of everyone *****ads and posts.  I am almost 4 moths post-op and did my research for 6 months prior to choosing my  wls and surgeon.  I went to 3 different information seminars.  I talked with friends who have had different WLS.  I did my research and made my choice.  I didn't need a post like this to encourage me to choose one surgery over another.  I made my decision based on facts and who I am as an individual and the restrictions I needed in my life  I have lost a significant amount of weight and am healthy and living withing the restrictions required with my WLS.  If I had to do this again, I would make the same choices I did.

Please post your "informational" posts somewhere else.  The Main Board, The DS board, or somewhere those who are looking for information can find it.  This board is for support and I for one do not appreciate you "ramming" your choices down my throat.

Whatever surgery you chose, make sure you are making a fully informed choice.   As if I would choose a surgery without doing all the research.  What an insult.  Please don't post your rhetoric here anymore.

I'll post whatever I want, wherever I want to post it.

Glad you made your choice fully informed -- not everyone does.  Which is why this post was directed to PRE-OPs, not to you.

Buh-bye.

By the way Diana, don't bother to post back to what I said in another post to you, you are now blocked.  Your type of person is not anyone I would like to be associated with!

Good luck and ain't it just grand you can slam 3000 calories into your mouth, I am sure your body is very happy with you.

Your e-mails and postings are mean and toxic and rude.  Hopefully that's not indicative of you as a person but it's doubtful.

You are post-op.  I am not talking to you.  If my writing offends you, by all means use the block button.

Gotta love chicken-**** posters who post and then block.  Buh-bye!

No, I don't read over here -- I just make my posts and invite people to chat over on the DS forum.  You have a problem with that?  If so, too bad, so sad.

I thought if you blocked people, they can't see your posts either??
