No eating No weight loss?
I heard if you don't eat you won't lose weight. Is this true?
How much exactly should we be eating? I'm only 14 days out of surgery and there's a lot I don't understand. I do about 1 cup protein drink, during the whole day I'll finish a can of blended soup. Getting down only sips of water, and I love water but it is uncomfortable to drink. Is this enough or any suggestions.

You really need to be following your surgeons guidelines. Each surgeon has different protocols. These questions should be directed to his/her office.
Main thing is keep hydrated, drinks lots of water, and proteins, whether your doing shakes or if they have you doing real foods.
Good luck, and find out what their post op guidelines are, I'm surprised they didn't give you instructions.

It's really important to get your protein in. Just keep sipping the water, it's tough at first, especially when we are used to gulping, but it will come with time, and everything you drink, soup, whatever is liquid counts are water. Also try the sugar free popcicles when you get bored, they are a good source of sweetness, and they also count as liquids. It is really hard at first, your body has just been through a major surgery, but I promise you it will get better. Also in answer to your question, not eating enough proteins, will stop your weight loss, I am speaking from experience. We actually have to eat to lose weight, but you are still in the early stages, don't fret about it as yet!
Wishing you the best. Diane
