Good Morning Janine and Cali . . . Monica . . Jorden is just TOO CUTE!!!! OMG!
I'm happy to report being down 5 lbs . . . but that was all "vacation" weight so I've worked it great this week . . . although 5 lbs at a time is NOT typical for me . . . I'm usually happy with 1 or 2. Yea!
My DIL's hair started falling out in CLUMPS . . . HANDFULLS . . . LOTS . . .yesterday . . . so it looks like I'm buying a wig this week. I had told her I would way back when chemo started . . . so I better uphold that promise at least! She was pretty down about it yesterday. Her doctor said at the rate it was falling out yesterday, she probably will have none by next week . . . she thought she had made it through without losing it . . .but not so. She also had her biopsey (sp) yesterday to see if the cancer is gone . . .cross your fingers!
I'm staying home for the second day with a rotten cold . . . but that Zicam stuff really seems to be working well to control things . . . plan on gonig back in tomorrow.
Have a great day everyone!
Chris

Good first Whacky Weigh In Wednesday for 2009 everyone!

Yes Janine, my buddy, I already have the spreadsheet all warmed up and ready for those mega pounds for the year so not to worry.

I lost 2 holiday pounds this week and am right in the zone I want to be in so I am a happy camper!!!
Thanks to everyone who has been keeping my Mom in your thoughts and prayers. Those well wishes seem to be working guys as she is improving. Sorry I haven't been on the computer long enough to send personal thank you e-mails but it's been a whirlwind since Sunday. Also, to those who left voice mails, or texts, as I wasn't able to pick up your calls at that moment thank you too and I will call you back soon.... that's a promise! Yesterday Mom got it in her addled brain the Dr. said she could go home. WTF!?!???! I had called her in the morning after the Dr saw her and of course called our Dr to find out what was up. Left a message and he called back an hour later and told me she was insistent on going home even though he told her no, you shouldn't check out yet. They are still hydrating her, trying to knock out the pneumonia and fine tune the heart meds to get her heart rhythm more normal and stable. He pleaded with me to go talk her out of leaving the hospital. Oh brother! I left work at 12:30 and when I got there her nurse saw me go into the room and followed me in for an update on what was going on. Well, long story short after at least an hour of arguing, discussing and pleading she gave up and agreed that yeah, she probably should stay until the Dr says it is safe to go home. She threw every Mom-ism at me she could from "why are you all conspiring against me" to "I can't believe my son would turn against me" to "I thought you of all people would respect my wishes". This 87 year old, frail, ill Irish woman certainly was feeling better yesterday afternoon and was in a very contrary, petulant and stubborn mood! And that hospital induced delusional state of mind didn't help my cause! But bottom line over the afternoon she allowed her treatments and was a fairly decent, compliant patient. Now, what she is doing when I am not there I will hear about this morning! LOL What a day, what drama!
Anyway guess I'll get a move on here and get my day underway. Hope you all have a great one!!!!
