Wow moment Phase 2 complete

OK, phase 1 is almost complete, we'll be done with that at midnight, nothing to eat or drink after that.  One more slim fast and one more sf jello... woo hoo.  Now on to phase 2...

So, I had been dreading phase 2 since I read Jenn's post about drinking the magnesium citrate and her feeling nauseous after.  I knew 4pm was gonna be my time to down this stuff and I was looking at that bottle and shuddering all day!  LOL

Went to counter, got a glass, poured.... thank goodness it all fit in one glass..... down it went with ease.  Followed it with a equal amount of water, which I read to do on Web MD.  Yep, I got lemon flavor, and it has a little fizz and is a little sour but it was a breeze.    Yee haw.  No nausea!  It feels like a fizzie in your tummy!  LOL  Remember fizzies or am I dating myself?

Yep, I'll be friends with the porcelean god tonight but no gagging it down and no nausea.

Ya know, if you can handle the gallon of stuff they have you drink before a colonscopy, this stuff was a piece of cake!

Just thought I would impart a little humor on everyone this evening, and a little relief on anyone facing the dreaded magnesium citrate bowel prep!

Hugs,
Barb

So glad my doc said I didn't have to do that, just no food for 2 weeks.  I am not sure which would have been better,  Bring a bunch of things to read while in the potty.

Wishing you the very best of luck for tomorrow.

My limit, with the citrate, is 3/4 bottle. Then the gagging would start.  Good Luck and best wishes for a safe and uneventful surgery.

LOL I remember fizzies!  We can't have them after WLS but that's ok, I wasn't really a big fan.

You'll have a great day tomorrow!  CPMC is amazing in their care of WLS patients.
