LOOKING FOR SUPPORT GROUP IN SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

Hi Everyone,

I had RNY surgery back in 2001, and didn't continue the support group meetings.  I have gained most of my weight back, and am in the process of hopefully going through with a revision surgery soon.  I would love to start attending support group meetings to aid in my road to recovery.  Let me know if there is a support group meeting in the San Fernando Valley area.  If not, maybe some people would like to start one.

Lola,
Thanks for the info.  Is the support group in West HIlls you go to open to everyone, or just patients of that specific bariatric program?

Lori,
It was delightful to meet you and I look forward to doing it again.  When you are in town you better let me know.  We can meet for coffee or something. And if it is a support group meeing night you can definitely join me.

Have you gone back to basics of your surgery to see if you could lose the extra before you go to all the expense and possible complications of a revision?  If your mechanics are still workable then you can lose it.

Just a thought.

Yes, I have tried the back to basics thing for two years.  Mechanically since my stoma and pouch are enlarged, I am not easily satiated.  Trust me, I have tried everything I can think of as I am not thrilled about having to undergo another operation.
