I'm doing really well today, I feel good that I got on the treadmill last night and did a good work out with even some nasty squats!!!  It's hard on the knees, but good for the body!

Good Morning Calif.....

Yesterday was DD's follow up appointment and it was scary. She got the staples out, and that was a good thing, but what the Dr. told us, scared the heck out of all of us. He told us, that the top half of her lungs are messed and if she is to get sick or start smoking agian, she WILL die. No one is to be around her if they have even the slightest cold. Her lungs will not be able to handle it. They are that messed up. Also, she must have a CT scan every 3 months, because of that thing wrong with her heart, and one of the vavles might still go bad, even though he fixed the best he could, it might blow out. She must have the flu shot every year for rest of her life. The way he talked, made her start crying, because she didn't know how sick she was, even with all of us telling her. But I guess hearing it from the dr. made it all real. He also added to her medications. So now it will cost me 235 $$  a month for her medications. UGH!! Her medical and SSD have yet to kick in, and until they do, I will cover her medication. UGH!! I would put my hand out for help, but shoot, everyone is tight right now, and they can't aford to help. I guess this means not WII for me.  Oh will, this to shell pass.

Now will all that depressing stuff said, on the bright side, she got to shower for the first in over 2 months.

Will my coffee is done, and I need to get moving. I do wish you all a great day. Stay alert, and stay alive.

So sorry to hear about your sister.  I hope everything works out and that she follows the dr's orders.  She is blessed to be alive after the ordeal she had gone through.

wow!  That would be hard for anyone to hear, poor thing.  she is so lucky to have you as a sister and help taking care of her.  I will continue to keep you both in my prayers!!!

My goodness.  That's quite shocking news.  I'm sure she'll not smoke and everyone just has to be careful around her.  I'm glad she's doing better ad hope she continues to get better.

LL .. . I'm so sorry to hear about your sister ... hopefully she will follow the dr's orders and will be feeling better soon.

Last night was dramatic in my house.  My DIL's hair was falling out in clumps the last two days . . . and we did get her a wig yesterday . . . but last night it REALLY started falling out . . . so she grabbed a scissors to cut it off ...  and my D and I calmed her down . . . and ended up buzzing her head.  She decided it would not be as emotional every time to end up with a fist full of hair.  So that gets done, she puts on her wig and I take her to buy some beanies . . .we're walking past someone in the parking lot at the store and this little ole lady looks at her and says "oh my dear - you have such pretty hair" . . . that made her start walking on clouds and was sooooo  good for her ego!

Good Morning Jeni and Cali,

Yesterday I went to get my hair weave.  It is torture for me as I am very tender headed and so I will be in pain for two weeks.  But the two months of not having to think about my hair is well worth it.  It is so maitenance free.  Of course I always feel it looks like stripper hair until I can figure out how I want to style it but hey I go with it.

Also I got the tredmill yesterday that I was buying from my mom's friend.  She sold me her barely used tredmill for only $250 which is awesome because I couldn't afford one at this point.  Will still do other workouts but I need to be albe to walk in a certain manner for my back issues and I can do that better on a tredmill than walking outside.

Thanks for all the compliments on my lil one.  She is a lil dare devil but I will always say she is a keeper.

Morning Jeni and the rest of the crew!

I was not exactly sleeping in. I got up at my regularly scheduled program time. It is just that I have been sleeping the night with the aide of medicine my doc gave me. It makes me feel a lot better getting some sleep.

In fact I saw him yesterday and I got really good news. At nearly 6 and half years out...he said I am going to live a loooooooooooooooong time with the labs I have. My fasting blood sugar is 78, my good cholestoral is off the hook at 112. He said that in all the time he has practiced he has only ever seen 3 other patients with the cholestoral levels I have. My thyroid is near 0 at 0.43 which is great and and everything else...no defiencies all NORMAL. So who says you cannot live life large after WLS????

So that is a huge wow moment for me....makes me thrilled as well as not tipping the scale higher especially over the holiday break.

I seriously have not had time to read the boards as I am slammed this time of the year with yearbook deadlines. I just want you all to know that perhaps my shout outs might get a smidge sporatic, but I do care and do try and read as much as possible.

Steve I just want you to know that I am sure glad that mommy Jacobson is going to be alright. He does listen.

LuLu.....we will talk. DD is surely going to always be in my prayers.

Jean....I hope you are doing okay with the non ciggie days. I hope that you having plastics will never bring a ciggie to your mouth again. You will be surprised at how it will add youth to your appearance without them. I am rooting for you and excited for you on many levels.

Rhonda....hi gf!!!

Diane C......you are the best gf.....I really do miss you and I know that you are going to get there...those last 50 can be killer, but I know you have it in you for what it takes. If I can do it you can.
