Looking for Support Group near Marin Co.

Hi  Everyone,

I just had my RNY surgery 9 days ago (on 12/30/08) and I'm looking for WLS support group in my area. I live in Marin Co. and I'd love to find a support group hopefully within less than an hour drive from my home.

If anyone knows of a WLS support group in my area, please let me know!

Dr Jossart has a support group at the Sheraton 745 Baywood Dr., Petaluma the 3rd Saturday of the month.  His office also has one in San Francisco at CPMC.  Check their webpage for more info if that's closer.  http://lapsf.com/cgi-bin/Calcium310.pl?CalendarName=Default&Op=ShowIt

Now that I've said this, I notice Petaluma isn;t on the calendar for 1/17.  I'll call them tomorrow and see what's happening.

Thanks, Jan!  I'll call them to find out about the support group and also to see if they would allow me to attend it (since my surgery was at the John Muir hospital in Concord).

You're welcome.  I called them because they've moved out monthly meeting.  It's now on the 4th Saturday of the month.
