Janine-thanks for the shout out.  Good luck with your yearbook deadlines.

Cali- I like my new friend.  He was worried about me last night, but I was home early and gave him a call.  He should be recieving his picture today or tomorrow.  I wonder what his reaction will be?  Well today, I am feeling especially cute because I am wearing some new shoes (black, pointy toe pumps w/ 2 inch heels).  They are a little big on me because I noticed that my heel slips out the back of the shoe.  No biggie, I will just buy a pair of those heel guards.
The only weekend plans I have is to meet up with an old friend on Sunday.  We have not seen each other in over a year. 
I might go to the lys (local yarn store) and sit and knit.  I need to go to the laundry mart and felt these 9 pairs of booties.

Good Morning all,

Well I didn't sleep too well last night, earthquake jitters and I am still suffering from them.  I told Dougie last night, I might take a tornando over a quake like last night.  At least you have a warning the tornado is coming.  BUT my sister really had a good indication, we were on the phone and hung up about 1 minute before it struck, she could not get her chocolate lab to calm down and lay down.  Usually all 5 of her dogs are sleeping and calm, but for some reason she could not get him relaxed, and NOW we know why!  My sister lives a mile from us, and she never feels any quakes, even a 3 pointer or more, but last nights she called paniced as I was.  Guess because we are so close to the San Andreas fault (300 ft we can see it from a bedroom window) and it hit like an explosion, I really thought is was the big one.  Did anyone else notice that the quake lasted almost 2 minutes!?? 

Today is going to be a good day for me, going out with my BFF.  We have not seen each other much, I liked it better when she didn't work, but not all of us can be retired, of course she is making money and I am NOT!  So I am off to start to get ready.  I just take my time on days like today getting dressed.  This week something is wrong with me, I have cooked my dad breakfast every morning and I even have been eating breakfast. Gone for walks, bowled A LOT of Wii bowling, matter of fact, I have a ton of energy, sort of weird for me.  Not that I am in any pain, the knees, back and shoulder are killing me, but I have to get over this and get my ass moving.  I have sat for too many years waiting for this body to heal.  OH goodness, I am BLAH BLAH BLAHING...enough!

Have a great day and weekend.  Nikki, Doug and I will be there tomorrow IF he doesn't get called out on any fires tonight in the middle of the night.  We never know and with these stupid winds, the likelyhood is high.  I am hoping not!  The overtime is nice, but I like him staying with me all night.

Wooooooohooooooooo..............I can't believe I'm checking in before noon!  I've been terrible getting up in the morning since I'm on break from school till the first week of February.  I've got to get back into the swing of earlier mornings because I'll have two 9 am classes next semester

Today we have to go to the bank and then errands, errands, errands.  We had talked about driving down to SD for the lunch, but tomorrow is my son's 6-month anniversary being clean and sober so I'm making a Vegetarian Lasagne, Garlic Bread, and Salad for all the people at Sober Living to celebrate.  It's a very big deal for all of us after everything we've been through with him.  He's working full-time and been clean for 6 whole months........I know I keep repeating it, but this is a dream come true for me. 

Anyhoo.........hope everyone has a great Friday and gets to relax for the weekend! 

Good morning Cali,
Well today ends my vacation.  We fly back to LA today and tomorrow is a 14 mile run/walk.  I fell down my uncles last few steps and hurt my big toe. I hope it is better by tomorrow.  I also have a cold so I am going to see if I can do my run tomorrow.  It has been a great vacation and I am not looking forward to going back to work.
Monterey was wonderful and I am so happy I had the opportunity to meet Jenn, Lori and Deann, I look forward to meeting them again. This trip has also made me realize my decision to move up here will be the right one.  Now I just need to lay my stones so I can make it happen.

Nothing planned but to sleep and get better.  I did give my recumbent bike a slow test run.  It was delivered yesterday!

Alright, so I know this is a little late, but that's ok.  I can't believe it's Friday already.  The week felt like it flew by.  All in all it wasn't such a bad week going back to work.  My 4 year old students were a bit hyper and rambunctious, but we all survived.  Hopefully next week they will be back in the swing of things.

I've been celebrating my birthday all week and it's been fun.  I'm exhausted though.  Tomorrow I plan on relaxing and enjoying the weekend.
