REPOST: Welcome Newbies! Make sure you learn about the DS before choosing which WLS...

"Fist" of all, you asked the question what did I mean by the sentence "If it bores you ..." etc. -- if that was a rhetorical question, the rest of your post did not follow to make any point.  It thus appears you were asking a question to which the answer would be obvious, if you had done any reading on the board.

Again, your reading comprehension is lacking.  There was a condition precedent -- the operative word was IF. "IF it bores you, or makes you feel badly about your surgery choice, move along."  And if it doesn't bother you, then feel free to keep reading.

My post does NOT put down other people, it compares the DS SURGERY to other surgeries.  Can you and your ilk not tell the difference?  Or are you so invested in your surgery choice that you have to take pointing out the limitations and negatives of your surgery as a personal affront?

Your dyslexia does not justify your lack of sentence structure or ability to form a cogent argument.  Your snotty attitude, reading criticism of YOU PERSONALLY in the original post where it did not exist, earned you the sarcasm.  Nowhere in my post did I put other people down for THEIR choice of surgery.  Nowhere.  You imagined that in your own unhappy little mind.  Perhaps you need to look into yourself for the unhappiness that caused you to misunderstand so thoroughly.

Wow Diana, I think it's great that you want to get the word out about the DS, but do you have to be so mean about it?? I understand that you're an attorney ithw an Ivy-league education, most of us didn't have that opportunity. I sure didn't, but I am still well-educated. The way that you have torn people down is just not right. We all chose our surgeries based on what we needed. We all need to support each other's decisions, not tear people down. I know a lot of venom has been spewed back and forth. That's not what I am trying to do with this post. I love that we can all share information on the different surgeries, but this is not the place to tear people down. I don't condone ANYONE's bad behaviour over this issue. I am just trying to get cooler heads to prevail. Take a step back and think about what you want to say, or how you want to get your message across, before you hit the send button. Isn't there enough tearing down of people in the world?? Why do it in a forum that is suppose to be informative, loving and supportive? Just my two-cent's worth. *goes back to my corner to lurk*

Really?  REALLY??  You just posted on that sactimonious ***** Diane C's thread -- let me know when you start wagging your finger at HER and her ass-licking sycophants for her hiding behind blocking me any yet calling me out by name, and then maybe we'll talk.

"superior outcomes and easier lifestyles than the other surgeries"

"Compare and contrast how we feel about our surgeries, how many of us are YEARS out and easily maintaining the highest percentage of excess weight loss, and how we eat -- compared to LapBanders and RNYers."

" I knew I could not live with the issues associated with LapBand or RNY"

Now, why don't you check your own reading comprehension, as I stated to the poster above.  NOWHERE in that post do I tear anyone down, in particular for their surgery choice.  I COMPARE the benefits of the DS surgery with the limitations and negatives of the other surgeries, but some of you seem to misapprehend that for a personal affront.  Probably reflects some deep seated issues -- look inward.

Wow Diane Cox I am really disappointed that a well educated woman like you would resort to calling Diane C a "sactimonious *****" I guess you can educate a person, but you cannot buy them class.

Diane is one of the best people I have ever met and she is a person who would give you the shirt off her back. She is kind and loving, but is not push over either.

I am just really sorry that you have resorted in name calling. She blocked you and Gail because you both crossed boundries is all.

Basically we are all saying we do not care what kind of surgery you get....but you have taken it to new heights which is really disappointing. Role model? No I don't think so. If you think busting peeople's balls with your fancy educated mouth is a way of supporting people, then I think you need to look within, but please stop attacking people who are held in high regards and who are loved on this board.

Whatever.  You are one of the mob here -- and she's the one who brought up my name on a thread I'm blocked from seeing, and which you sycophants freely added your own snarky comments to, so I'd say YOU need to look at your own behavior.

But it's all good -- the snarkier the response, the more people read the thread and the more people learn about the DS.  Dozens in the last few days, in fact.  So bring it on, *****es!

I wonder if Bob Rabkin knows what an ill behaviored person you are? My friend who had a DS from him 9 years ago is very good friends with him and I am sure he would be disapproving if she mentioned your behavior with his name attached to your surgery.

One of the mob Diane...thanks for the compliment...that means I belong is that what you are trying to do?

You know when you first came on these boards, I was very supportive of you and told you that you that you were going to a good doctor and would be in safe hands. Since then, you have become a pompous horses rear end. I am really sorry that you have become such a nasty mudd slinging person. I guess as the old saying goes you can operate on the stomach but not on the brain. I am sorry!

OOOOH -- you're gonna tell my surgeon on me???  You are a complete horse's ass yourself Janine.  And even assuming he would think badly of me -- which I doubt, because these threads ALWAYS bring the DS surgeons more business -- what exactly would he do about it?  Reverse my surgery?  Bwahahaha.

You are attempting -- and FAILING -- to be a bully.  Stick to what you're good at, whatever that is.

Oh, and I am "friends" with him too.  Have his personal cell phone number.  Woo-******'-hoo.  He's retired, by the way.  Keep up.

Oh thank you so much Diane....compliments get you everywhere. People know me here on the boards and your slinging is uncalled for. I do not come to these boards and tell people what they should do or not. I could never give a rats ass about what kind of surgery people have....just be informed and get healthy.

I have never felt superior as you seem to feel the need to be...have at it woman...and for the record....I know he is retired....I am just saying he would not approve of you being a representative of him or the surgery. His friend....like I am sure....it is still all about the money if truth be told. Doctors are caring, but the almighty dollar is still motivation...pretty much like attornies.

Assuming you work for a living, I doubt YOU would do whatever you do without getting paid --so what is your point??

I don't give a rat's ass what surgery you or ANYONE has already had -- these posts are to get information to PRE-OPS AND POTENTIAL REVISON PATIENTS (and there are LOTS of those these days, as the RNYers and LapBanders become WLS failures over time) about the DS.  It's you post-ops who seem to get offended by the comparisons of the SURGERIES and then it's off to the races.

Keep the posts coming Janine -- the newbies look at the number of posts and hits when they decide which threads to open, and will read and learn.

That's a mirror you're holding. Diana is anything BUT pompous or a horse's ass.
