More snark?  Is that what you have to resort to, Janine?

I've been asked to do the PacLap calendar.  I declined -- I didn't have the time or interest to go to the photo shoot.  Maybe after I win my class action suit for ALL California bariatric patients to get reconstructive surgery, in accordance with the law, I'll reconsider.  In the meantime, if you are implying that I wouldn't look good enough -- ***** -- I'm sorry, but you're wrong.  I'm eating 3000 calories/day on average and still losing weight, slowly.  No diets for me!

My skinny DS roommate bought a size 8 LBD a few weeks ago, and I put it on and she took a snapshot -- so this is with no makeup, no primping at all, and I still have 15 lbs of skin that needs to come off:

Well you look great Diane but I am already an 8 with a very flat stomach and did not have to lobby or beg any insursance for my reconstructive surgery....my insurance paid for everything....read my lips...I do not have to go beg in a class action suit.

You might look good on the outside but your inside is showing its ugly colors.

What are you trying to say, Janine?  This makes NO sense whatsoever.

Good for you if you had medical necessity.  I guess you were in more dire need of recon work than I am.  I don't have medical necessity, despite having 15 lbs of excess skin.  However, CA law says you don't have to have medical necessity to get recon work, but the insurance companies are ignoring the law.  While I could, if I wanted to, afford to pay for my own recon surgery, most people cannot.  I have decided to set legal precedent on behalf of all Californians, by forcing the insurance companies to follow the law and provide reconstructive surgery benefits that are already legally mandated.  Begging??  Really??  I'm fighting for the rights of thousands of Californians -- irrespective of which surgery they had -- to get mandated medical benefits that are being denied by our insurance companies.

Now explain to me how YOU are somehow better than me because you already had your recon work at your insurance company's expense?  You are getting desperate to find something nasty to say, aren't you?

From Illinois here...couldn't resist. You people are damn entertaining!!!

Umm...Janine. I wouldn't BRAG that you "didn't have to lobby or beg any insurance company" for your reconstructive surgery. It sounds like they saw you coming and said "Now THERE'S someone who needs our help, STAT!!!! Do whatever it takes to fix THAT!" It just doesn't help your argument, hon. LOL.

And, you are missing the point. You all should be thanking people like Diana, instead of slamming her. While she can afford to self-pay for this stuff, she doesn't and puts the time in to fight injustice because it's the right thing to do and she is passionate about it.

It's because of her and people like her that I could go to my insurance company and get a DS, the surgery I knew would give me the incredible quality of life I wanted. DIANA will be the reason some of you ingrates reading here today in CA will easily get reconstructive surgery when they need it. Think about THAT when you are gathering the mob.

I KNOW Diana doesn't need someone like me to jump to her defense, but  damn, you people are thick-headed and unable to see the BIG PICTURE. Step back a moment and think beyond you and your petty day-to-day stuff for a minute. She, and others like her, are trying to improve access to medical care for ALL, even the ones who stupidly slam her here and elsewhere on OH.

Are you always this much of a ****head, or do you just have a hardon for Diana?

No hard on or **** head and if you read, I supported Diane when she came on the boards to being with....advertising I didn't have to beg....nope and they did not see someone coming that had to have the work. I just happen to have good insurance that pays for reconstructive surgery after major weight loss.

I do not know why you feel you have the need to slam me because I have not slammed you. Why don't you keep your nose out of my posts.

Hmmm, what do you know -- Diane C's post is now missing -- either she was ashamed enough to delete it or the mods did it for her.  I didn't mommy button it -- no need to.

And please, so as not to confuse me with her, my name is Diana.

"Gail because you both crossed boundaries is all."
I would like you to please explain what I did wrong. I was shocked by Diane C. venomous post. It didn't look anything like the kind of support that this board used to offer. I wrote to her, not in a threatening or name calling manner and begged for more tolerance on the CA board. My reply went to a different person on the post, so I sent it to her personal. Suddenly, I am the topic of a big brouhaha that is eventually deleted. What a welcome back! I really appreciated your welcome back and your explanation of the current infighting. I hope you take this note as it is intended, I just want someone to explain what I did wrong in asking for tolerance.

OMG I can not believe what you are writing.....Why do you have to be so cruel and mean.  I have to totally agree with Janine, 100%.  I respect your rights to post whatever you want - but when you resort to inflammatory name calling and degrading people on their english and language usage - that is just wrong.

In my opinion an "ivy educated" person is no better than a state college educated person....it sounds to me like you think you are better than others.

Again, I respect your decision and respect your ideas and comments - but I detest your personal attacks on individuals....
