Hi Leslie!

Thanks, I've had bangs since I was a kid, lol  I tried NOT having them a couple times and just couldn't do it, lol  Ah well, they suit me.

Honestly, I don't think there is such a tortoise as a "snow leopard tortoise", lol  it's probably a "leopard tortoise" (which are AMAZING but get big) but it probably has more white than usual.  People just make up names and it just confuses people, lol  ;)  I'm sure he was pretty though, I love them but we don't have room for a big guy, I wish!  I also love the California Desert Tortoises, but you need a permit for them etc and they're big too.  Maybe someday.  I love their eyes, they're so pretty :)

Ok a Greek!  GREAT choice, they are really cool buggers!

Now the one thing with torts and aquariums is the humidity thing.  glass keeps it in and they get hotter than lets say a rubbermaid.  I use a rubbermaid for him in the Winter.  They also clank against the glass.  If you get a baby, I think it will be ok but for an adult I would think of something else.  I don't know if you saw the photos for Aristotle, but the top photos are what we did on our balcony when we lived in an apartment and it worked great.  We had to do that because there was a little lip on the bottom of the balcony that he would constantly get wedged under and flip himself, so we had  to do that.

If you are interested in a Greek, let me know and I'll start asking around for a great breeder for you :)  Also if you want a baby or adult.  :)

I'm excited, this is fun!!  :)

Of course! Duh! I didn't think about the humidity getting trapped in the glass tank! I should have known better with all the lizards I used to keep. They like it humid too.

I think I want a baby! The little ones are SO cute! And that will give me a little time to get a better enclosure for him when he grows bigger. LOVE the patio set up you did! Wow! Beautiful! It looks like one of those little pools, is it? What a great idea. When we were thinking about keeping my slider, I was going to get one of those black outside pond things but they were all just too big.

Are you ever out in the LA area? Maybe we can meet for lunch or something one day? You seem like a very cool chick!

Ok I've put the word out on a baby Greek for you.  We'll see what comes up.  People usually don't ship this time of year due to the weather extremes, but someone may be local.  We'll see :)

I'm off to bed, will write more later and keep ya updated!

Night Night!

Ok back to the balcony.  Yes that is a kiddie pool, just conformed to the sides of the balcony!  So I just put that in, threw in some grass/hay/plants etc and voila!  :)  That was when we lived on a 4th floor apt.  We have a house now and he's in a pen, I have 3 pens with different guys in each one.  :)

He loved the balcony setup though, we brought him in when it rained and now he has the cutest little doghouse he goes in at night (when he's outside).. he's so darned cute, they are such stubborn, determined animals at times though.. but it's cute :)

I'll find ya a baby!!

Ya know, since moving to LB I don't really go up there at all, even my friends are mad at me b/c I don't go into their "neck of the woods"  hahaha!!!  It would be fun to meet up though!!

Yes, they're definitely cute and smart too. I remember that every time I woulkd walk by Skippers tank she would sit up and beg for food and every time, she's get a little something from me. Usually dried flies or mealworms, but she wouldn't do that for anyone else because they didn't feed her.

I'm really excited about getting another little guy or gal! But don't stress about when. When the time is right it will happen, but yes, put the word out!!

I showed my husband the pictures of Aristole and he loved him.

OK, so just let me know if/when you hear something. I'll PM you my email address!
