I appreciate your good wishes. I didn't see the thread and I am glad I didn't. I guess my attempt to seek tolerance and moderation got twisted into something nasty that I sure didn't intend!

Hi Gail! I've been around OH for many years as well. I don't remember you, but I can hardly remember what happened yesterday let alone years ago, so really it's not you! Yes, I know of several DS'ers that got their surgery through Kaiser. Keep your focus and never give up!! You'll get your DS!

Hi Leslie, I don't recognise you, but I know that you have gone through major changes! I hope you don't mind if I lift some of the information on your profile to explain to my insurer why I want the DS. I am starting to feel confident about my future!

Hi Gail -  Welcome back.. I hope that you are successful whichever way you decide to go.  I don't post much on the boards anymore but I am usually here a few times a day checking to see what is up with everyone.. So again.. welcome back!

Welcome back to the boards. I've been here since 2005 but gave all of OH a break when I got pregnant in 2006. I am more active now that I've been back. I try to post responses as often as I can, especially when I think I have useful info. I did see your post and am sorry that you got such an awful welcome back.

There really should be more tolerance for all surgery types. We are all here for the same thing. Just because you and I want the DS doesn't mean that anyone else made a bad decision.

I just won an IMR with the DMHC against Health Net on 12/30. I started the process again in Feb, got approved for RNY in July, asked for DS in August, got first denial from HN in Sept, got second denial Nov, submitted IMR Nov 17, DMHC overturned HN's denial on 12/30. Best of luck to you and never give up. I've been trying to get WLS since 2003 so if I can do it anyone can. If I can be of any help to you please PM me.
