Questions about protein?

Congratulations on your new life starting tomorrow!

I get my protein powder from www.jayrobb.com.  They have single serving sizes so you don't have to buy a huge amount unless you like it.  My faves are pina colada, tropical dreamsicle and chocolate.
Vitamin Shoppe also carries 1 serving packets.  I tend to do mail order because I live in the sticks.

I also get Syntrax Nectar Sweets, Chocolate Truffle. Also available at Vitamin Shoppe.

I like mixing the chocolate from JayRobb and the Nectar for a different flavor too.

Have a great day tomorrow!

Isopure and the protein shots did the job right after surgery.  Weeks later and even today, I drink Muscle Milk Light.

Good luck!

Hello, I tried a few shakes out before surgery and thought that "oh this won't be to bad" well...... let me tell you I could not stand any of the protein shakes and I must have gotten 20-30 different kinds. Vitalady sells a large variety of brands and flavors in individual packets so that you can try them before getting the big containers.  My MD gave me 2 weeks of protein products but YCK!! still couldn't tolerate them. Made me gag, throw up, and if I did get them down they made me feel very nauseaus for about 2 hours after drinking.  I am about 5 months out and have tried to drink them (hoping my tastes have changed) Don't quite get the nausea and sick feeling but still YCK!!  I started to drink the 100% Whey protein bullets. I bought them initially at Vitamin Shoppee and at GNC. They are about $3.50 per bullet but was able to tolerate well. I now buy them on-line as so much cheaper. Here is the web site I currently get them from. They have 4 different flavors and are 42 grams of protein and only 3 oz.  Hope this helps.

Hi DiAnna,

for the bullets, how do you use them??  Drink them from the container or mix with something?  I'm clueless!

TIA!

I drink them plain with a little water chaser. I have read were some people mix with crystal lite.  I also drink it in two sittings. I have heard we only can absorb 20 grams of protein in one sitting. Don't know f that is true but what the heck.  So approx 2 swallows and I have drank  1/2 of the protein drink.

Congratulations on your day being here!!!

I usually get my protein requirements from food, but when I'm not in the eating mood (crazy, but sometimes it happens) or recently when I has my plastic surgery and didn't have much of an appetite, I love my Champion Nutrition Whey protein in chocolate. I get mine from the Vitain Shoppe or online at Vitalady.com. It tastes great and I can easliy drink 3 a day when I need to (like right after plastcis). It's thin and smooth- just like chocolate milk!  Their Banana Scream is really good too, especially with a few chunks of frozen mango thrown in and blended! yum!

P.S. Love your hair!!
