Vegetarian
Who is a vegetarian out there and how do you get the protein in? Just curious... I am a certified meat eater but very interested in knowing more about this. I am cutting back on my meat intake. I feel kind of funny for wanting information, but I have no clue to a vegetarian diet and I want to know more.
Happy Monday people!
Hugs,
Jaime C.

Good Monring Jaime,
I am not a veggian (sp) but I eat alot of soy bean (edamame), I also eat tuna, raw or seared, even tho I thought last week Lisa B would puke at the table. I gotta give her some credit tho, she really tried to eat edamame and called and said it was gross. But I really like it and try to eat it everyday. I get mine at Trader Joes, frozen for 1.69 a pack. I dump kosher salt on it, and oh yummy! I don't eat meat that often, maybe two to three times a year, it just don't like me and I am fine with that.
Take good care of yourself, and you are looking awesome my friend.
Love you, Diane

Hi Jamie,
I've been working towards vegetarianism, but am failing miserably...just taking one day at a time. However, I try to eat high protein stuff...edamane is a good choice, but not for me since I have a thyroid problem...er...correct that...no thyroid and soy interfers with the absorption of my medication. So there are plenty of carb type items such as Quiona (pronouced Keen-wa) a very high protein grain that is a great tasting pasta. Plus there a lots of meat subsitute things such as the Garden Burger, tofurky or tempeh...there is tons of stuff. You'd be amazed, plus there is always the good old standby of Protein Drinks.
Take Care,

Are you sure this will work?
Hi Jaime!!
I'm almost a vegetarian. I gave up red meat, chicken, turkey and pork. I do eat fish and seafood. I have a really hard time eating it without throwing up
. I still do protein shakes, soy cheese and eat greek yogurt with strawberries. There are tons of vegetarian cookbooks out there, check em out. Good luck...
