Vicki gets hugs for staying with you!!  Good, good doggie!  Now, missy... I'm wondering if bubble wrap is enough.  You are grounded!

Diane,

I apparently have missed a post because this is the first I am hearing about you getting hurt.

I'm sorry to hear that you got hurt but glad it was not any worse and even gladder that people actually helped you.  And that your Vicki is such a loyal companion.

Thank you all for your well wishes, and Vicki got an extra cookie and kisses last night for being such a good girl and not running away.  You have to understand she is a scared dog, she is afraid of everything and usually when strangers come into our home she runs and hides.  She actually stayed there and strangers were approaching that is why I am so proud of her.

As of this morning, I feel like I got kicked in the chest and side by a horse!  Thank heavens for my recliner.  This morning when my dad left, Vicki came to my room and her and I cuddled in bed for awhile.

Again thank you all, you are the bestest!

Oh Diane . . . you poor thing!  I'm assuming you tripped or something . . . and such a good dog!!!!  Relax - repair . . . and GET BETTER!

Maybe we should consider a bike helmet and wrist and elbow gards when you go out . . . BESIDES the bubble wrap!

Hugs
Chris

You know Chris, I have fallen 2 times since Aug, and before that, I fell at work 6 years ago, so what the heck?  Amazes me how unsteady I am on my feet.  Just drives me nuts.  I will be fine, please keep Steve and Michelle in your prayers.  Those people really need it, as for me, I will survive this too.

Love 2 u, Diane

Oh I have Michelle and Steve, D and Steve's mom in my prayers . . . but there is room for you too my friend!  Just take it easy!  Quit wearing spike heels when you are out walking - that will make you more stable . . . :D

One time I was at Disneyland (20 some years ago) . . . and had my dobbie/rotwheiler (sp) in the kennel there for the day . . . and when we were going back to the car  . . . he went on one side of a post, and I went on the other . . . and I hit the ground and got a concussion . . . now this dog was 130 lbs . . . and people wanted to come help me but were afraid . . .and he went into "guardian" mode . . . so my kids were trying to get me up off the ground . . . and hang on to Tasha . . . it was quite an ordeal but we finally made it back to the van . . . and I have no idea how long I sat there before I tried to drive home . . . that was a rough one.

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Doggies and drugs...love the combination...works for me sometimes..lol
I am sooooooo unstable on my feet that I decided to become proactive about it.  I, after many years of interest and research, have decided to learn Tai Chi and Yoga.  I started last week and practice everyday.  I am usually quite apprehensive about walking anywhere alone, for fear of falling.  A few years ago I literally fell out the door of our local Mervyn's and was mortified because I needed help to get up.  My poor mother was with me, unable to help as she herself used a walker....soooooooo..if'n ya want..join me at free Tai Chi at the Cypress Center on Thursday afternoons in Fontana for ..Senior Tai Chi!
love ya, feel better soon~
