Sorry I've been MIA

It has just been so busy since the Christmas holidays.  We went up to Northern California the day after Christmas.  We were having a nice time visiting with family when we found out that one of my husbands’ cousin passed away on New Year's eve.  The funeral was this past Saturday, so we went back up there and got back home late yesterday afternoon. 

Then this past Thursday I found a very good friend of mine has been diagnosed with lung cancer.   Also, some of you know, I have had found a lump under my arm...well I got the results from my ultrasound and they had found 3 more lumps and they recommended I have a CT scan...Well the insurance denied the referral for the CT scan.  I then had to call my doctor to have him resubmit for another referral for the CT scan.  The insurance denied it again, but this time they recommended I go see a surgeon.  So now I have an appointment with a surgeon this Wednesday.  I have just been soooo stressed about all this.  So as you all can imagine I haven’t had much time for myself.  Please keep my in your prayers.  I will keep you posted if/when I found out anything about my lumps.

Hey darlin', I'm so sorry that you've had such a rough start to the year. Sometimes insurance companies bite. Hopefully the surgeon will find that the lumps are nothing to be worried about. I have fibrocystic breasts, so I find lumps all the time. I still go in for mammograms every year, just to be safe but I've only have them biopsied once. I had found one and during the biopsy the surgeon found two more and removed them all. You'll be in my prayers that all is well. xoxoxo

Hello Lil Mamma.  I was thinking about you the other day and wondered where you were.  I am sorry things have been so tough for you and I hope you get some answers on Wednesday.  I miss your face.  ;-)  Please know that I have been thinking about you and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

 I'm sorry you have had such a rough time. I hope your appointment with the surgeon goes well. He'll probably want a CT scan too. Why did your insurance deny the CT Scan? If your surgeon also requires a CT Scan and your insurance still denies, I would try contacting the DMHC (if you have a HMO) if you have a PPO then I think you need to contact the Dept. of Insurance. They oversee insurance companies. It is total BS that your insurance would deny a CT if you found a lump, and your doctors believe that you need one, then it is medically necessary.  Best of luck to you.

Wow hunny, with all you have been through lately I certainly understand why you were not on much..  I am so very sorry to hear about all these things.. I will definately keep you in my prayers, and if you need anything, PM me..
