Has anyone ever.....

dumped on their pain medication...  OMGoodness I feel HORRIBLE!  Sweaty, feel like I am going to PUKE and stomach HURTS BAD!!  This is my first episode, and hopefully my LAST!

They are the same pain meds I have been taking since being discharged from the Hospital..

WOW... Just have to let it run it's course, but just wondered if this has happened to anyone else..

Aw Jenn,

I am so sorry you feel pukey.  I can sympathize as it happened to me 1 day post op on meds.  The only thing I can think of is that the pharmacy used a sugar suspension.  Is your pharmacy open?

Thanks Barb..   I just don't understand how I have been taking it for a week with NO problems, and then tonight, WOW hit me like a ton of bricks..

Ya know I just got off the phone with Jan, and she helped me realize that maybe most definately it wasn't the meds that I took, but the drink I had before it...  

It didn't have any sugar or anything like that, but I didn't think about the fact that it had acids in it.. SO we are sure that is what made me dump..  OH MY...

I am feeling much better now, but I will not be drinking that drink again anytime soon..

Hey darlin', I've never heard of anyone dumping on their pain meds but I guess it could happen. Sorry you're feeling so lousy. Hope you feel better soon. XOXOXO

Oh Katt, it was AWEFUL, but I am back to my old self this morning...  Phewwww!!

As I said in another response, we think it was more the drink that I had before the meds, than the meds itself.. So I am going to cut that drink out and I should be A OK..  Woo Hooooo!

Welcome to refridgerator roulette. First few months...you never know what will set you off...not just too much sugars...could be too much fat....or too many carbs......

I agree it probably wasn't your pills...that's not what dumping syndrome is.

And be aware...that becoming de-hydrated can cause feelings very similar to dumping...only they last longer. This soon after surgery...do what you can to keep hydrated.

I'm just curious...what did you drink?

I drank a Fuze Tropical Punch.. Only had in it...

1g Carb
0g Sugar
0g Protein

100% Vitamin C
15% Chromium

I thought it would be something different from the same ol' same ol' I was drinking, but I guess I just wasn't ready for it...
