Good morning Janine and Cali friends,

Thanks for the shout out this morning Janine, you're so sweet.  I am remaining optimistic about everything, why worry?  I have been so blessed with always landing on my feet in a bigger or better job so I just remain confident.  I would really like to stay in the public sector for the benefits though.

Yesterday I walked completely around the shorter block in the neighborhood, so today I am going to try the big block.  I am trying to walk everyday while still in recovery mode.  No football games today so maybe I can go out shopping with my mother in law just to get out of the house.

i don't know what kind of day i'm gonna have.. i do know i have to get the dishes done and mop the floor... i have a kid free weekend so i'm gonna be pretty bored.. i  think i might go to my sister's house and play rock band 2 it was so much fun the other night... the kitty won't leave my side this morning so i wonder what's up with her...well that's it for me today... i hope everyone has a great day i know i'm gonna try..

Janine, thanks for that.. I know being a newbie I am going to have doubts, and I am not going to do EVERYTHING I need to do.. I have lived life one way for 29 years, and I can't expect to be perfect when changing my whole world.  Thanks for reminding me it is okay to mess up once in a while..  I will just get back on that horse and try again.. That is all you can do right..

I am going to be meeting a fellow OH member today who I just recently found out live right down the street from me.. HOW COOL IS THAT.. How funny is it also that my son is friends with her son, and we never even knew one other HAD the surgery and was GOING TO HAVE the surgery..  So I look forward to her visit today..  (Guess that means I actually have to get out of my PJ's and brave the real close for a while..LOL)

I still plan on taking the kids to CC (Chuck E Cheese)  but maybe tomorrow.. My daughter is begging to go to a last minute Birthday Party with one of her friends at school..  She is such a little helper to me, how could I say NO..

So I hope you all enjoy your Saturday.. Rest, Relax, Go Wild, Have Fun.. Do what ever it is you need to do, but do it well..

Good Morning Cali.  Thanks for the shout-out Janine.  I am LOVIN' the new jeans! 

Today I have to clean my house.  I went and picked up Jayden yesterday and we have him until Monday!  Dad has to work tonight so the kid and I will find something good to do. Jenn I like your idea about Chuck-E-Cheese.  So I will bribe the little turd - if he's a good boy while I go get a manicure done and my uni-brow waxed back into two eyebrows, then I will take him over to Chuck-E-Cheese for some game time.  Either that or a movie.  Hotel for Dogs is out and it looks cute.

Speaking of dogs - mine are in the dog-house again.  If I can't get that yellow one to stop pooping in the house, then she stays out.  Not 5 minutes after bringing them in from a potty call she went into Jaydens room and left smelly presents and a puddle.  What is up with that?

My little fur-baby PK is still under house arrest.  Because of the scratch she's quarrantined until Monday.  She stays in her kennel during the day and I let her out periodically to play and to potty and do all that stuff.  She's not happy about it (neither am I) but it is what it is.

Off to shower.  I feel like such a slug today - just want to sleep and stay in jammies!

Morning California

Yesterday we went to see Grand Torino and I bawled at the end.  Definitely a movie I'll buy for our collection when it comes out.

Today we (hubby anyhoo) is taking my sister to buy a new monitor for her computer since hers died last night.

Then we're off to try to find a bike trail for him to ride on that will also accommodate my running training. We're looking for one that's not cramped with people.  We usually go down the beach trail, but with the weather being so nice, the beach is going to be packed and it's just no fun dodging pedestrians on a bicycle.  Tomorrow we're going out to the Fullerton courthouse with some new friends to try the 10-mile "mountain" bike trail.  Should be interesting.

After our exercise, it's back to my dad's storage unit.  I'm hoping if I spend 1-2 hours a day there, I can get it cleaned out by the end of February.  It costs me almost $400/mo and it's just time to go through my dad's things and "let go" of what I can and keep the few "treasures" I find.

I have been pretty busy the last two days and Wed I went to see my ortho doc, the one *****placed my knees.  Anyway I didn't see him and now he wants to see me next weeks, so off to him I go.  Also Tuesday I am going to the plastic surgeon that I had spoken with awhile back, my insurance company wants pictures, then they will determine if they will pay for it.  Wooohoooo.  This morning I was at my neighbors house and helped them with their garage sale.  The have nothing left, at the end they were giving things away free, they put about 3 boxes on the curbs and someone came by and just picked them up.  I got a beautiful outdoor wicker furniture set, a real steal, I almost feel bad, but they set the price, then I got a gorgeous queen size comforter with all the bells and whistles for 15 bucks.  My dads room will now look sexy.  Oh yeah and anyone who has a mom between 70-80, I got the man for them, my dad needs to get out of this house and start to meet people.

Ok tomorrow is church and then more healing of my poor body which still hurts from my fall on Monday.

I wish I could introduce your dad to my mom, Diane.  She's a beautiful woman.  Only one little problem, she's married  .  We (her kids, our spouses/SO, grandkids, her sister and brothers, my cousins.....everyone!) can't stand the guy she's married to though.  Oh well, such is life.

Hey Cali Crew and Janine, Janine thanks for the shout out and yeah I guess I will have to give my girl a talkin' to. LOL I miss her and those curtain climbers of hers.
Well, I have dropped a bunch this week but will post that on Wednesday.

Speaking of dropping JENN!!! Did you ever get a new scale???

I don't know what is going on with me but I have been nauseous as hell the last few days. This has happen before and after eating. No I am not praggers! LOL But I wonder what is going on...Maybe it is just a bug?

Good afternoon Cali and Janine,

It was a L-O-N-G week and I am glad I have a three day weekend, I need it.  It was my first week back to work and it started out bad and just got worse.  But, it's over.  Being in a hit and run really made for a bad week and I am still trying to get over the anger and frustration of having to spend over $700 for something I didn't even have anything to do with.  Some person side swipped my car and took off driving.  Gotta love people. What what can I do?

Today was a nice easy 7 mile run.  HA HA I laugh when I say easy, it was only 7 miles.  Next week is 16 miles and I am a little nervous.  My toe is still a little sore, but getting better. 

Coming back from Monterey has been hard as it made me want to move sooner and quickier.  I do not like living in Los Angeles anymore.  LOL!  I want what I want and I want it right now.  Is that possible?  LOL! 

I have been here lurking just not typing.  I have missed everyone and want to thank everyone that has supported my in my marathon training and fundraising.  It means a lot to me.

Hello y'all!

Just got off the phone with my friend from Tennessee so I'm still a bit southern. lol

I'm finally feeling great and DH is a few days behind me.  Hopefully by Wednesday we'll have a sick-free home!  Not much new as we haven't been going out.  Today's a day off from exercise and I slept in.  I've got a stack of bills to pay and some reading to do yet.  It's going to be a quiet weekend. Yaaaaaay.
