Good Morning Everyone and Happy MLK Day!

I do not know if any of you got to watch the pre inaguaration party yesterday on HBO. I was gobsmacked at the grandness of it. I love it especially when people were reading about famous people and what contributions they have made to our nation.

I especially got a kick out Obama's oldest daughter just clicking away pictures of the stars. Can you just imagine a ten year old girl being thrusted into the life of a star really? Her sister too. I surely hope they keep them as normal as possible. They sure are cute little girls.

I am really looking for to Obama being sworn into office on Tuesday. I do have to say my eyes welled with tears when he took stage yesterday on the Lincoln Memorial....oh Lincoln and MLK had to smiling down on him....it is a great time in our country!

So speaking of kids...Nicole...your son's are adorable and I think that is hillarious that people think they are twins because they are 9. You should tell them that yeah they are twins my different mothers seperated at birth of something dumb like that!!! LOL

Kim in Fontana....is that lady nuts or what? Heart of gold yes, but those kids need to get off their arses and help her. She is going to go to an early grave if she keeps up enabling them!!

Cindy D.....good to see you on the board....wow it has been a while. Glad you did well with the hysterectomy....and even better there will be no HRT!

Chris S....how was working this weekend? I went to Costco...what a bunch of crazy q-tip heads in there. In fact when I was leaving, this man walks right out in front of the Denali I was driving (my son's) and I honked the horn at him because he did not look. I rolled the window down and said to him, " You might live longer if you looked where you are going." What a dumb bunny!

Monica did you get your room cleaned and organized? Did Miss Jordyn help?? Closer to walking yet? Where does the time go eh?

Rhonda how did your trip to Disneyland go? I bet you had loads of fun....great to be able to act like a big kid eh?

Hey Maureen know what is even better than cheese chips? Salami chips!!! If you take the super thim salami....were you can practically see through it and throw them on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with a tad of cheap parmesan cheese and bake until the edges start to get crisp....them put them between paper towels to blot off excess grease....they are like OMG Italian potato chips LOL!! Try that...tastey for sure!

Joy I hope today brings you feeling better. No fun getting a bug at all. I have been lucky in that sense....okay knock on wood!

Nikki how is it going at work? How is your neck and back feeling too? I feel so bad for you having to go through all of this....maybe soon they will figure out the right combination of things to relieve you of pain. I wish I could come to the next lunch....but you know the distance...it is your turn to come here!

ShellsBells...good thing you found a place to stay when you get your doggies! You know my son and I drove from PS to Oakland and turned around and went back the same day....OMG that was a looooooooooooooooong day....so it is good you are not!

Little Michele....I did not realize you were going to have Katzen do your surgery. He is a good guy!!! He surely worked miracles with my old tired body!!!

Jenn how are you doing today? Didn't you make a trip to the store this weekend? Your first outting?

Oh and Sweeny what are you doing in Maine? I am telling you the further you get out....okay you are still cold a lot of the time, but the food thing and socializing...well you come to realize how much of socialization is with food. Kind of sucks really. Look we do it at OH things too! LOL

Catt did you get yourself moved? It is hard packing it up and moving all your stuff. For me I would dread it that is why I am not moving from this house EVER!

Jules did you have fun horseback riding? Boy did you ever think you would see the day that you would climb up on a horse! Oh wls is so sweet eh?

Janeene did you find a good trail. We have gobs of them here in the desert and can go for like ever and not see people. I like that because a lot of people are not willing to venture out of their comfort zone here. Better for us!!! LOL

Lola that sucks that your week went from bad to worse. I am hoping when you go back to work tomorrow that things will be brighter! And it would **** me the hell off having to pay that kind of money for something I did not do either!! Some people have no conscious and probably had NO insurance!

Sue aka Taz...where have you been? Lurking???? I hope that everything is okay and that your hubby's back is finally getting better. How is Miss Sammi doing?

Well I had been get going here and post this before some of you think I might be sleeping in!

Before I leave...here is this great recipe for flourless peanut butter cookies a friend gave me:

1 cup chunky peanut butter

1 egg

3/4 splenda sugar blended ( it has 2 grams of sugar and appears more sugar consistancy like)

1 teaspoon of vanilla.

Drop on parchment paper and dip your fork in the splenda for the crosstop and bake for 12 minutes or so at 350 degrees. If you like them crisper go another minute or two. Let them cool on the paper before removing as they are very soft and crumble when hot.

These are toooooooooooooo die for. I baked   them and put them in the freezer so I will not be tempted to eat them all!!! Nice for a treat once and a while!

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends,

Happy monday!  boy this weekend went so fast!  I had Grandma Duty Friday night.........Gosh little Kingsley is just so precious.  He slept all through the night until 0600!  Good Boy!!!

Yesterday, Tommy and I took off for a day trip to San Francisco.  We walked across the Golden Gate Bridge.  Well, I brought his scooter...........he loved it!  He had my ipod in his ears just beep-bopping away on the way there.  That just cracks me up!

I also had my first "Stuck episode!"  OMG!!!  That is so uncomfortable!  I took a bite out of a breakfast sandwhich and OMG, itwas on!  Holy cow!  I know I must respect my band now.

My breast surgery is only one week away, and it is starting to get to me.  I am anxious about it.............I am afraid of how "lop-sided" I will be.....  is that bad to feel that way?  I'm scared that you will be able to notice in my clothing and stuff..........and how will I look to my hubby, even though I know he loves me just as I am.... just thoughts........

Good Morning All...........

Nope not hiding, Just working. My nieces from Idaho are here to help out with watching DD. My other sister, Dana, could not do it this weekend, so they drove down for the weekend and are leaving today. It was nice having them here this, but its going to be nice to have them gone also. Seems like the house is never clean, My place is to small for 4 people. On Saturday, off they went to see my friend Julie and got tattoos. OMG! My sister is going to flip. But heck they are 30 and 35, old enough to know what they want.

Then yesterday, I while at work, I had to fight with walamrt,   to get DD's med. ($235 This  is crap! there goes my Wii ) They would not let me pay for  them over the phone, and I had to leave work for an hour and go there and let them see my card. That very nice man,  is lucky he does not have my card placed up his A$$. JERK!!!!!!!!!!

Today should be a nice day at work. I hope! so I can get my work done and get some of the back billing done also. UGH! I hate being behind. SUCKS!!

Janine - once again thanks for the awesome shout out...you are the best...and yep - 10 days from right now I will be on my way to the surgery center....I am so excited and so glad I was able to get rid of the cigs to help me heal.....It hasn't been as hard as I thought but I knew if I wanted to do this I had no choice...so when we know we HAVE to do something we can do it.....

Not much planned for me today...maybe transplanting some of my flowers that are out growing their pots....and hopefully going to the eye dr to pick up new glasses....

Has anyone heard from Steve . .. my thoughts are still with him, his mom and D!

Jeni - hugs to you . . . don't worry about how you will look . . . be so GLAD this problem was found and you are able to take care of it . . . and you will be HERE to enjoy your life and family . . . too many people don't take care of it in time and are no longer with us . . . just concentrate on getting better and working that band!

Thanks for the great shout out Janine, Yes, I've been lurking. It seems we've been so busy lately.....

J - those grandbabies of yours are just too cute!

Sammi is good. Already talking about her birthday which won't be here until the end of March. LOL Her sister is coming from Idaho for spring break and which is also the same time as her birthday. I have one excited little girl for sure. DH back is worse than ever. He can't have more cortisone injections until next month. The pain management guy is also referring him to a nuerosurgeon because he can't really do anything for his pain. The nerve burn he was going to do, he can't on the nerve that causing the pain. Hopefully he'll be able to do something.....

Other than that, we're all good. Been keeping Steve and his family in thought and Lu's sis DD too. All the brand new newbees and the soon to be's too.

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

I did get some of the laundry put away, but the kitchen got the bulk of my cleaning.  I will work on the room more today.  Of course with a lil helper it is slow going.  I fold the clothes and she flings them.  She is walking.  I think she is 60/40 on the walking and crawling. So we are going to take her to stride right to have her foot properly sized.

Well she has had me up most of the night flopping on me and then up since 4.  Since she is sleep now, I'm going to get my workout in and then maybe catch a nap if she stays sleep.

Good Morning Janine and Cali Guys and Gals.

Yesterday I had such a fun day at Disney land with  my best freind.  I was shocked I was comfortable on all the rides.  I got to see my Angel for a little bit and we rode Tower of Terror together.  I think I ripped her hand off though!  I was so scared.  Got to meet her sweet husband Tim also.  It was fun not taking the kids with us.  Just two grown ups acting like kids and it was fun.  We walked and walked and switched parks several times and went shopping etc  Shopping was the best part as we had no kids bugging us to buy anything!  lol.  Today I think I am going to take it easy as I have been working hard on the yard and the garage.  Iwas going to have a garage sale, but I am just too pooped honestly and I want to just relax today and just be.  Well that is all for Now.  Thanks Janine for the great shout out the cool cookie receipe.  I need to try that.  Sounds great.  See you all at the Long Beach coffee.  Take care and do something nice for yourself today.
