Happy Inaugural Day
Good Morning Everyone and Happy Inaugural Day to all of you!
Today we witness one of the biggest thing in history that is positive in a very long time. We see people from every walk of life coming together like no other time in history. I am proud to be an American today. Proud that I am a part of this history.
I am happy for future generations who will learn like we have from history that we are all one and as MLK said so eloquently...."That my 4 children will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
As much as I disliked my family growing up, I do have to say my parents gave me that gift of your friends are your friends by what is in their heart. I often talk with my students regardless of what I teach about that gift and how they should live by it.
Today is another special day because Angela is crossing over to the other side for her own inauguration into a lifestyle of of health and happiness.
I was not trying to political here and I know we have our own beliefs, but I voted for change our country needs it!!! Our 44th president has a very hard road to go down these next 4 years and our country for the first time in a long time I feel has some hope.
Have a great day everyone....no time for a huge shout out....just know I care that all of you are successful in everything you do!
“When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.” –Peace Pilgrim (1908-1981).
Today is truely going to be a day for change and for the better (I hope). Is your school going to be showing the inauguration? I know a lot of schools are letting the students watch or listen to it. I am of course working, but I know it will be replayed so I can watch it tonight. Maybe I can hear some of it since I am sure they will have it on the TV in the buildings.
Today is my Friday and I am not doing a dang thing tomorrow. This has been one HELL of a week so far at work and I just need to relax!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Be good to yourselves and those around you!!!

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations.
I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty,
believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Good Morning Janine and Cali!
Yes, it is a big day in American History Today!!! It is good to see people excited about their country and politics again. A good feeling of hope! I like it!!! And may the stock market RISE to the occasion! lol
Steve - I am continuing to keep you and your family in my prayers. I hope you can feel all of the good wishes and hugs from the board surrounding you.
I hope you all have a great Day today!!!
Have a great day everyone!
Chris
Wow Chris made me think, I was in 1st grade when Kennedy was sworn in. I did not get to see it at school or at least I do not remember. I do remember going to Catholic school and it was huge that we were going to have a Catholic President! I often remember my parents saying they voted for him because one he was Catholic and two it was better than Nixon and we all know what happened later on down the road there!
My students will watch this today in my class and I am hoping if they are not in my class that all the teachers at school will tune in...it is by far much more important than any lesson we could teach...our nation is getting a lesson!
Have a great day!

Change is Here! All I can say is may God lead him wisely. This is such a day for America I can't even wrap my head around it. I do hope to see some of it live. My doofus school acted like it wasn't important enough to plan for and it wasn't until staff brought up a letter from our superintendent that they made a last minute scramble on friday. So we will see. In any case I'm taping it so I can view it when I get home.
Angela blessing being sent your way.
Everyone enjoy America

Inauguration Tuesday 2009.... it is a VERY good day to be alive and witness history in the making! I am finding soon-to-be President Obama to be not only a great inspiration but as intelligent and wise as I had hoped he would be in his decisions and demeanor. This bodes well for our country in this time of crisis and need so great. Pray for him, his family and our country that he has the proper team surrounding him and the strength and support of all of us to move our wonderful country forward.
Thank you my dear OH friends for all your prayers and support the last couple of weeks through our family crisis from Mom's illness and hospital stay through the death of my brother last week. It's been tough but with your support and prayers we are making it through this as well as can be expected.
We managed to get Mom settled in here at our home over the weekend and she is continuing to recover, slowly to be sure but under the cir****tances I think she is doing OK. I returned to work yesterday and that was a good thing for me. Was able to focus on something else and discovered how worn out I was. LOL But I know it will get better and am looking forward to discovering our new routines with Mom in our daily lives here at home.
ANY-way.... enjoy the day you beautiful people and thank you all again for your care, concern and support. It is a blessing. Now go watch the inauguration and cheer for better days ahead.... I know I am!
