off and on pains

 I have had off and off pains in my tummy today. They come and go. And when it comes it hurts. I have called the Dr's office.  What can I do for this.

Maybe gas trapped?  What did the doctor say?

 yes the doctor said it probably was gas.  

Your going to have weird pains for a few months. I remember when I was first out of surgery, every time I went pee I would get a pain in my left side. I wouldn't worry to much about the pains, providing that they aren't excruciating.

Have you tried taking any pain meds that the doctor sent home with you?

Are you walking and getting water in? I know the 1st week post-op I was having funny noises in my stomach and my doc gave me pepcid and all gone fast.  Walking really helps rid the gas though.
