12 Days and counting

I have been sitting here going through stuff for a yard sale this weekend just trying to keep my mind occupied so I wont get over excited again. Funny thing was I was going through a box of NASCAR collectibles that is going out in the yard sale I was holding one of the cars and thought to myself "Next year I could actually fit in one of these things" LOL

My wife is starting to get irritated with me already because I have already packed my bag for the hospital then I go and re-pack it again. I am just excited about this being so close.

That is very excited. I am glad you are more excited than nervous about the surgery. It sounds like you are ready for this change!!! Congrats on the upcoming surgery

Any Dale Jr. stuff is more that welcomed in my home. 

I am happy for both of you on your upcoming surgery. I also was so happy I couldn't stand it.
I would have slept in the waiting room of the Hospital, I was so ready!

Glad you are BOTH excited!  It is the best thing ever!  Pack and repack and repack . . . lol I didn't take anything with me because I thought I was an outpatient . . . which to THEM meant 23 hours . . . but I was fine - except for CHAP STICK!!!!!  Made my daughter go find some FAST.

See I knew we were meant to be friends!!  Who are your drivers?  Mine are Jimmie and Jeff. Hubby and son are Jr fans and my daughter is Elliot Sadler (loves M & M's) but as she get older she just likes the "cute ones."

You might as well throw all your NASCAR shirts and jackets out there for the yard sale too. I am now 9 months out and realized my mens 2X and 1X Nascar shirts I bought over the last 10 years wont fit anymore.  I now need a womans small. Guess I will be doing alot of shopping at the Fontana race!!!!!   Oh, lets see, I will have lots more room in my seat, wont be out of breath climbing stairs, and am looking forward to cruising the infield in my new skinny body.  No bikini top for me though.  Not looking to earn beads. Would probably be given a box of beads to put the flat saggy ladies  away!

Suffering now with a hugh case of Nascar withdrawal. Watching Preseason Thunder as I am typing this since the Irwindale All Star race was rained out tonight.  Feb 7th wont come fast enough. My new nascar food is chicken wings. Protein right!  Sure the sauce puts me over my carb count but thats a Sunday treat.  So much for the nachos, pretzels, frozen ice drinks, shots, and other speedway goodies.  Oh, and I found out the hard way at the September race (was 5 moths postop) that shots are bad  very very bad. Lets just say that  crapping your ass off in a RV when you are dry camping and have no water in the infield at 4 AM will wake up everyone on your row!!

Well I dont think I will be up for the Feb race since my surgery is scheduled for the 4th. I just dont think I would be up to it. So I will watch it on TV and open the doors to let the sound of the roaring engines sound through the house. Besides, I will probably be sleeping alot since the enemy in law will be with her other daughter in San Diego thank god.

The stuff I have for NASCAR are mostly  1/24th scale cars. Never could get clothes there to fit me. I use to work for a company that one of there major contracts was the California Speedway and I was at the track all the time. Got to meet alot of the drivers, have tons of stuff given to me, watched the race from the in-field suites.............It was a blast for awile.

So enjoy the race and have a ton of fun.....Just becareful in the In-field. Can get real rowdy at times.
