Monterey Area Peeps!

I'm taking my girlfriend for an overnight trip on Valentine's Day down to Monterey.  Got the hotel all situated, but need some recommendations on a nice restaurant down there for dinner.  Any ideas for me from the locals?

where are you staying??? Carmel, Monterey, PG????  WHat do you like to eat???? 
 Restaurant voted most romantic by the locals----- casanova's in carmel---- for good good italian, also d'giaovanni's in carmel----or Domenico's on fisherman's wharf......I can give more ideas---if I knew what you like.....( I am a hotel concierge...so that's what I do!!)

Thanks for the help.  We are staying in just a few blocks from Downtown Monterey.

Food-wise,  Italian is good as well as a steakhouse.  I'll check out some of your recommendations.

in Monterey---also check out "MONTRIO" or Tarpy's......and the Whaling Station ( just off Cannery row)  I think all these restaurants have wensites with menus so that should help.

There is also LOVER'S POINT.. There is a beautiful resturant up there with a georgous view of the ocean..
