Did my pre-op for surgery Monday!!!

Well, I had my pre-op appointment this morning for my lumpectomy that is scheduled for Monday.  I also found out that my surgery isn't until 2pm.  Yes, you read that right...2pm.  They told me not to eat or drink anything after midnight Sunday...Boy, that is a long time without eating or drinking anything, 14 hours!!!

They also told me that I should know with a couple days if the lump nodes are benign.  So, all this should be over by the end of next week.  I think my husband is much more nervous then me.  I just leave it in the Lords hands.

It goes without saying that you will be in my thoughts and prayers on Monday....and I will be thinking nothing but good thoughts that everything comes out ok and it is all benign.....take care my friend...

Michele, when the pre- op-nurse calls you the night before surgery or at least there should be one calling she should tell you that you are allowed to drink clear liquids up to 7 hours before your surgery. If you don't stay hydrated it makes it more difficult to put in the IV.
