Hello, I too am going through the process with Balboa.  I find it frustrating all the stuff they make you do for the surgery...it's a LOT more than a civilian Doctor...maybe in hopes you give up??? haha  Anyway, I am at Camp Pendleton.  I have the same surgeon as you too...man is he HOT!  I am perfectly happy in my marriage...but the last thing you wanna do is talk about being fat with a really good looking Doctor, know what I mean?

Well, I have an appointment with nutrition (Eva) on Wednesday...and hopefully I have lost the 10 lbs they required....I have been working out like a maniac to lose it!!  Otherwise, I am finished with all the upper GI and classes etc....if she says I am good with the weightloss...then I too will just have to wait on a phone call from Deborah.  I too can't wait to get that call for a date...I really need to get a job (just finished school) but I can't ask a new employer to give me a ton of time off....soooo employment is on the back burner until then.

What is it about your husband?  Is it because he likes heavier women or worries about the surgery?  My husband is supportive, but then again, I don't talk about the surgery much.  I just treat it as something I gotta get done, along with everything else in life.  I am not worried about having the surgery, I went to school to be a Medical Assistant and I have a better view of it all I guess.

i went last week but eva was not in so i just had to weigh in and i go to where i needed to be so they told me she would call and i havent heard anything from her and i have called a few times. so last thursday i called deborah and she said she was going to pull my file and call me today and let me know but she said if she doesnt call by 3 then to call her again. so i have everything done that i need to have done and now im just waiting!! i have 2 kids one is in pre school and the other is home with me so the whole working thing is out right now:) but i am back in school doing what i can do for now.

no dont get me worng my husband is very supportive but he is scared about the whole surgery. i havent talked about it alot but now that the time is getting closer im talking about it alot more. tring to make sure the kids are taken care of and getting the house in order.

Welcome to both of you!!!
I can speak for many of us in this forum when I say, we have endured all the same things ya'll are going thru. (the spouse, the Dr's, waiting by the phone for someone to call about your life) Hang in there because it will happen for you and then you will look back and realize it was all worth the frustration and the hoop jumping they put you thru!
I have Kaiser Insurance and they make their patients take 6 months of classes to learn about what to expect, and I will tell you, I thought it was a waste of time, until I had my surgery. I am soooo glad I had to do that.
We are getting together for lunch in La Mesa on February 21st at 11:30am at the Red Lobster if ya'll would like to join us. (See February Lunch by Nikki on the forum) Hope you can both make it, it is nice to talk to people in the same boat as you and also people who have gone thru it.
Hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for you both,
Sweeny

Maybe another time then!
The HOT gets there when you start a NEW TOPIC.. there is an icon up by NEW TOPIC, so you can choose HOT which is kind of like "important or hurry" also some other faces to let people kind of know what to expect... OR you can leave it blank, like I do, because I am blonde and forget to do it!! LOL
For photos, go to MY OH and click MY PHOTOS and it will direct you to download. I cannot get one small enough to put an avatar next to my name, but one day I will figure it out!! (LOL, may have to call my daughter and have her do it)

Hope to meet you someday, expecially since we are not that far away from each other. Since I do not work, my schedule is kind of always open.
Have a fabuuuuu night,
Sweeny
