I need some help or opinions on Protein
Greetings all,
As some of you may know, the doctor put me on a strict Atkins diet 2 weeks ago. They told me to eat strictly proteins and no veggies, breads etc. Diane C has been an absolute god send on helping me with this. The first week I did great losing 8 pounds and the second week I only lost 1/2 pound. The doctors office seems to think it is water retention and told me to stay on this diet another week.
Here is my question.......
I know that I have to eliminate or at least keep the crbs down to an extreme minimum. I was looking at my Nectar Protein mix and it has Zero Carbs, Zero Sugar and 130 or so calories and 23 grams of protein. Would it hurt anything to replace one of my meals say lunch or breakfast with a protein drink with this?????
I could care less if I ever see another chiken or turkey or string cheese or? I still like the cottage cheese though. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. I have a call into my doctor with this question also but I thought I would just ask

Replacing one meal with the shake would be ok. Here's another little trick, don't eat anything white. Cept your cottage cheese it's ok....

Won't hurt at all,
A few high proteins foods that have kept me at 75-80 Grams of protein a day early out.
Chili Lemon chickenstrips and Angus fajita steak strips from CostCo right next to each other at my CostCo.
Turkeymeatballs and Buffalo Burger from Trader Joes. the Bufflao particulary have 43grams in one patty
