WOOT, back from the Hospital....and I survived!

Melissa, remember you can dump from eating too much and or too fast as well. So those are two things to watch out for too.
Congratulations loser...I will slide over and give you a spot on the bench.

Watch the prune juice if you never want to dump!.  Hydrocodone will make you constipated.  You probably think you need to have a bm.  If you did any kind of bowel prep there shouldnt;t be anything there.  You need to stop being so fixated on this and sip and walk.  It will all come.

Congratulations on your surgery and happy you're home.  Take one day at a time and walk as much as you can.  I had my surgery on Jan 8th, if I can help in any way, just let me know.

WOW!  So sorry you had such a difficult time.  You are the second person in less than a week to tell me the pain from the gas was EXCRUCIATING.  Both Dr. Suh's patients!  It was so bad this person thought they were dying and even stayed an extra day because of it. 

My surgery is next Monday with Dr. Suh, so I am going to be praying even harder that it does not happen to me.  Hopefully will be fast and make up for your hospital stay.

 

Curious....does anyone know who is responsible to put the gas IN and who takes it OUT?  When I had laprascopic surgery in the past, the surgeon assurred me that they take great care to 'suck' out as much gas as possible before closing you up.  Anyone know how this works?

Oh wow.....I thought you only dump if you eat sugar....but you can dump from eating too much or too fast??????  ARG.......  Prune Juice will make you dump?  Why?  Too much surgar?  I thought natural sugar is okay, but not table sugar???

Linda, my thoughts are with you!  I'm sure you'll be fine, I'm just a HUGE baby!!  Oh, and if you have a nurse named Grace, tell her Melissa said hi.  She's SO nice and helpful.  She is on the night shift.  :O)
