Labs

So I got my labs done on Friday and had to do a crazy blowing thing.  The lady at the lab had no idea how to run the test, so she actually took the directions out of the box and we read how to do it together! I had to blow into a bag. Then drink a liquid, and blow into a different bag 15 min later. I think it may test for ulcer bacteria???  Monday is my upper GI and then I am done with tests...hopefully! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Aimee,

One good thing, at least she was able to read. LOL  So do you think you were the first one to ever do the test or was this her first time running the test.

Any how....at least you are almost done and your big will be here soon.

Take care!!!

The lady that did my test had to do the same thing, too!...lol I hated my upper GI just cause the drinking stuff tasted like chalk...yuck. But I was so glad I had it done because they found out that I had a hyatil hernia, so I was able to get that fixed too during my surgery..wooohooo! It was like a two for one deal. Good bye acid reflex & good bye fat girl..lol Hope things go well and good luck.

You had a hydrogren breath test. It's a pretty simple test to do, but it should be done by someone who knows what they are doing. I used to do them all the time. The nice thing is you don't have to have an endoscopy with biopsy to check for ulcers, and you can find out if you have lactose intollerance with the same test, as well.

Best of luck!!
