I've been very bad with my diet and need to get back on track.

We're going to go to costco for some meats etc but was wondering if there were dishes that would be good for quick breakfast/lunches for work.  Or any good economical meals that would be a good protein source for me.

Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you.

Oh and I can't do shakes!!  ;)

I just buy the bags of frozen chicken and hamburger meat. But for sacks, I like to buy the string cheese, turkey jerky, and apple crisps.

I have found tons of great recipes here on the recipe board!

Crysti,

Can't get this at Costco but Dennison's 98% fat free chili is wonderful for protein.  Sliced turkey is great too.  Cottage cheese, greek yogurt.  I hope this helps. Keep in mind I am still in soft food puree stage but these are things that are working for me currently.

Crysti, I wish I could be of some help but I have only been in a Costco one time and I didn't buy a single thing. BUT, I am planning on going in about a week to check it out and to get some Click. I am not getting enough protein in or at least I haven't been the last week and a half myself partly because I got sick and nothing has tasted good enough to force!
We need to encourage one another to do better.
My favorite quick meal is the meatballs at Trader JOe's but i am sure they have them at Costco and you can cook 2-3 at a time for lunch, I pour green salsa on mine, or red or whatever sounds good at the moment..

well be just got bunches of meat... chicken, steak, salmon and corned beef and a turkey loaf thing... I've already seperated the salmon into 6 portions for lunches/dinners and that came to about $3 a portion.  :)

the steaks cut up into tiny strips for me and larger ones for him, but already in the freezer.  chickens came 2 to a bag/6 bags.

so we'll see.

All I know is that I needed protein and I got some now.  :)  I saw the meatballs etc but shoot, everything is like $12 a pop there, we didn't have that much to spend, but this will last us awhile :)

Thanks everyone
