I Got My Date!!!

I just got a call from U C Davis and the nurse told me that everything came back fine from the Cardiologist and that I could have my surgery date!!  Sooooooooooo, I am scheduled for pre-op on Feb 25th, and the surgery on March 2nd.  I am so emotional right now, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  Part of me wants to fast until the 2nd and part of me wants to go eat everything in sight to make up for what I won't be able to eat later.   Now, I know I won't do either one, but has anyone else had these feelings?

WOO HOO...I'm so happy for you! I know that it was tuff waiting for the go ahead. Wow that's gonna be soon girl. I hope that you are more happy than freaking out. Your gonna change your life for the better and live longer. Your almost on that loser's bench. When you get there save me a seat, I'm sure I'll be there soon....

Thanks, yes I am happy and I'm freaking out but I am gonna be ok!  I am just so surprised it is finally gonna happen.  I've been on this journey for almost 2 years now and I can't wait to be able to do things I have not done in years! 

You betcha, I'm saving you a seat!  That is one of the things I thought of when they gave me a date so qutickly and that was that maybe your date is closer than you think as well!   Wouldn't that be great! 

Yep I'm so looking forward to being on the loser's bench!

Hey congratulations on your upcoming surgery.  Your feelings are VERY normal, and enjoy but don't over indulge, that was my plan and it worked like a charm and believe it or not, it was right through the holidays!

I am so happy for you, we'll be saving you a nice warm spot on the losers bench.

Knowing that I was on a quest for wls I too cut way back this past holiday season.  I usually have candy all over the house and sweets galore but I did not have any candy and I really cut back on the dessets.  I was so proud of myself and my DH was a great support too.  So, having these feelings today was kind of surprising to me but I don't think that it is so strong yet that I cannot win!  I have come a long way in my thinking but I also realize it is a day to day jouney and what you conquer one day will be there again for you to conquer on another day.

When I got my date I laughed and cried for 2 days.I got it a couple months before I thought I would.
Congratulations!! Hang on, like Nicole said you are in for one heck of a ride.
