Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have a San Diego specific question. I will be in San Diego for a conference the end of the month. I will be staying at the Town and Country Resort. If you are familiar with this area could you tell me if there is a grocery story within walking distance? I have tried to find the information on the internet, but it is hard to tell if you can walk to the stores or if they are off of a freeway exit, thus making it impossible to walk to. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

There isn't a grocery store close by that I know of . . . you are right next to the Fashion Valley mall (and a trolley stop -  but I can't think of any grocery stores close to those stope either)  . . . but grocery stores in Mission Valley are almost non-existent  . . sorry!  Let me know if I can help

There's actually a food for less and a ralph's in fashion valley.  they're not really within walking distance unless you don't mind walking at least 1/2 mile...but the bus goes by both.

Is that part of the Fashion Mall? I walk up to 5 miles a day, so I'm not worried about the walking. I'm just not real sure which way to go.
