Yep it is Saturday and supposedly the most romantic day of the year!  hehehehehehe....only kidding!!!!! I am telling you our town is popping with tourist and the restuarants are going to be making a killing this weekend! It is also Tour de Palm Springs! Liz I think you were going ride the tour again!

Okay do any of you have romantice plans for this evening? Come on fess up! 

Jeff and I have Ava for the night so the kids can go out. Since I have Ava, I offered to take Hunter also, but his parents are doing a romantic night at home. We will have fun regardless! Ava is our Valentine anyways!

For having the day off yesterday...it sure turned out to be a busy one. I mean I was running around doing errands...you know dog grooming and that fun stuff when my boys called me and asked me out to lunch...that was cool. Then I picked up the Ava Bear and went and did a bit more shopping....they had dinner at my house...and let me tell you...can that little girl eat some fish! She loved the Orange Roughy so much that she ate my piece ta boot! She gobbled up her asparagus and must have ate 8 strawberries and she is a skinny little thing. I think she is growing again...she has shot past Hunter in height again.

How how cool is it that Paula K finally got a surgery date...make sure to stop by her support page and wish her some good Cali Lovin!

Rick it sounds like you are doing well....just be patient in the weight thing....trust me the weight will fly off if you follow your doctors protocal!

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

I am sad this morning.  A friends husband lost his battle with obesity yesterday.  I think I am still in shock.  I was on the tredmill last night when I got the call and I just kept walking.  Not sure where I was going I just couldn't get off.  Conrad was a guy with one of the biggest hearts I knew.  He had finally made the decision for surgery and got insurance that had him in a program and was waiting for his date.  We had talked about the gift and blessing that the surgery had been to me many times. Unfortunately it was too late for him.  For those of you on the fense about if this is right for you?  I can only say for me and many others the answer to that question is because I need to save my life.  I am so many lbs and I don't want to die.

I always think why did I get to have the gift of surgery and others don't.  It is for people like Conrad and John that I have to fight every day to do what is expected of me.  I cannot take for granted this opportunity.  Sorry to be such a downer on this day of love but it is my love for Conrad that has me expressing this.

MOnica I am so so sorry for the loss of your friend and what you and his family are going through. It really chaps my hide that wls is not almost mandatory for people who are in dire straits health wise. You know what I mean? I remember John's fight and look what happened. Asshole insurance!

I guess you can think of it this way....Conrad is at peace and will no longer have to fight his health. It is a shame it had to end this way for him and he could not live a life on the losing side.

All of you are in my prayers and I do tell someone everyday that I love them even it is only Jeff....or my family.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend Conrad.  Your posting reminded me what a gift my surgery was too and you're right we canot take it for granted.  That was a very strong message. I will keep Conrad in my thoughts and prayers.

Monica I am soooo sorry to hear about your friend loosing his life.  I thank God everyday that I had the opportunity to have this surgery that saved my life.  I have to agree with you...I really believe without this surgery I would not be here to play with my grandbabies.  I was killing myself everyday!!!  I will keep you and your friend’s family in my prayers.

As for me today...My grandson has a basketball game @ 1:00 in Rancho, then I have to go grocery shopping then my daughter and I are going to go get a pedicure then my HONEY and I are going to have a nice quite Valentines...we may go to the movies (which has been about 2 years since we've gone to the movies together). 

Things with my youngest daughter is OK...... She call me yesterday crying and apologizing for what she had said to me....but I told her I'll be there for support if she needs someone to talk to, but NO MONEY!!!

Jeanine,  My granddaughter is doing WONDERFUL!!!  She is such a fantastic little girl, always so happy!!!  I just Pray that my daughter (her mother) can find the God and also starts putting her little girl first.  But, until then I will continue to keep her in my Prayers.

OMG how do you know everything and everyone!  It shocks me every time you do a shout out. But on the other hand I learn all kinds of good things that I wish I had time to read.  Well sons birthday was fun.  We went to Wood Grill Buffett.  Me at a Buffet can you belive it!  I paid 12.99 to eat almost nothing!  But I think My son had about 12 plates so that made up for me! lol.  He is 6'5: so he is a big guy.  This was also the first time I took my mother out to dinner and she did not ***** about the food.  I was exausted and I went to bed at 8:30 and just woke up.  It is so cold here and the fibromyalgia is acting up horribly.  I get to do some walking next week I hope because of the foot thing.  I am still stalled at .1 lb before I reach 100 loss it is making me mad!  lol.  Well I think today we are going to Lake arrowhead for chinese food and then I don't know what else.  I am not into freezing my butt off so who knows what we are going to do after.  What I really want to do is go to the Lego store and get the midevil villiage and build that.  That is what I want.  Does anyone know of a great chinese place near Ontario mills?  It has to be fab please.  lol  Wek Everyone have a super valentines day today and enjoy.  If you don't have a valentine guy or gal, go and buy your own valentine and treat yourself special you deserve it.

Had a nice Valentine's Day dinner last night with the hubby and he got me a new necklace!  Wow, that was a surprise, lol!  Planning to have a quiet weekend and spend some time with friends today.  That should be fun.
