Monica - so sorry to hear about your friend! It just makes me sick when I hear about these things.

Michelle - hang in there girl. You are doing the right thing with your daughter.

Me and my two Sam's did Valentines last night. He got me a card and some earings that match the ring he got for me for my Birthday. He got Sammi a card and a little heart box with some stickers in it. DH is working today but should be home by 1:30 or so and Sammi has a raging cold.

We have an appt to look at a house this afternoon. We are already pre-aproved at the bank but are short the down payment. I'm afraid we may be spinning our wheels but we want to see this place anyway. I know the right place at the right time will present itself but I'm finding myself getting a little anxious. If the market turns around and starts heading up again we'll never be able to afford something here. Such is life.....

Ok, Sammi is insisting she gets to type now. So you all know, the mess to follow is lil miss Sammi saying Hi!

Good morning Janine and Cali Friends,

Happy Valentine's Day.  Janine, thanks so much for the awesome shout out.  Shopping will be Monday and boy do I need it.  Today though, I have support group this morning and then I am coming home to clean out my closet and drawers and bag up the stuff that's just hanging on me.  They were teasing me at work yesterday about how big my clothes are! One of my co-workers told me my pants looked like I was wearing a skirt because they were so big.  LOL

I had a phone interview with one of the largest school districts in the state (not LAUSD) but close and it went VERY WELL.  He was very interested in all I have done wants to have lunch with me in a week or so to talk more.  YEE HAW!  What a great opportunity for me this would be.  I am so hopeful.  He sounds super nice.  My boss is already calling her buds at that school district to give them kudos about me, she's the best.  OMG, pinch me, and this was all through networking, I didn't even know about it until someone passed my name on to them.

Last night my wonderful husband took me to a great italian restaurant, I had a 3/4 of a big meatball!  LOL It was WONDERFUL.  Then I forgot to bring my doggie bag home....grrr!

Shopping will be on Monday and a party tonight at our neighbor's house.  I am looking outside my window right now and can see snow all over Mt. Diablo!  Heaven I say.  We're in for a real nasty storm this weekend, but nothing will keep me away from shopping!  LOL

Good Morning!  Janine thanks for the warm words.  Yes, I did make it going throught he muck and the mush.  It really wasn't as bad as the news made it out to be.  We made it there, daddy slipped Jayden a VD card with some $$$$ in it to give to his mommy and we headed home.  Saw the most fantastic lightning storm on the way past Whiskeytown Lake.  Lightning = blown up transformers = work.  Got into town and found about an 1" of hail had just fallen.  It was a slippery mess! 

Today I am going to go meet 2 of my bestestestest friends for lunch.  They haven't seen me since my surgery so it's gonna be cool  I'm wearing my skinny jeans, a red spaghetti strap top with a white sweater over the top.  Oh, and my red boots.   It's VD day ya know!

Tomorrow I'm pre-arranged to work at 7 am as the worst storm is scheduled to hit tonight.  We'll see how that goes.  If there's no work, then I go home at 9 and we go to friends house to watch the Daytona 500 for a while and then to Chuck-e-Cheese for a birthday party Jayden's been invited to.

I have to make a blankie sometime today too but that'll only take about an hour or so.

Off to the showers for me!

I just dont know how you do it Janine.......Thanks for the kind words and the encouragement. I am going to spend the afternoon in the Urgent Care it looks like. Apparently I had a reaction to the glue or the Steri Strips (butterflies) they put on two of my incisions when they removed the staples. I have blisters and severe redness all over the two areas around and in the incisions. Man I dont know what I did to tick off Murphy, but him and are going have to have a talk real soon LOL....

Other than that, I will be having a quite valentines here at home with the wife. Cant really go out and do anything so I bought here some roses and a few other things and I will cook a dinner for her and call it a night :(

Happy Valentines Day..   I am not going to be on long, but just wanted to pop in and say hello, and that I hope everyone has a GREAT day.

I am going to be spending time with my children and DH today and then later tonight after the kids go to bed, have a nice romantical evening watching a romantic movie with the DH..  

I don't mind not going out of VD.. I love my kids and DH and enjoy spending time with them..

I'm in depressed mode . . . not only is the BF gone for VD . . . but our 5 year anniversary is Wed and he is gone for that too . . . did my nails and toes . . . going nuts here at the house because I didn't work today . . . made myself a stiff drink . . . and I'm trying to type . . . oh that is a good combo . . .not.

So, it's technically still Saturday.  The doctor told me that I have non-specific dizziness and that there is nothing that they can do about it.  I asked for blood tests and they were all normal.  I'm getting a head CT next Wednesday and that should be normal too.  I just wish there was something that could make me feel better.  Oh well.  That is life I suppose.

I had a good Valentine's day.  I hung out with some friends and just relaxed.

OK so I am a day late. I was so sore and tired last night I just came home and vegged. I didnt even get on the computer. There were lots of comments, the inmates were ready to kick whoever did its arse, lol. Of course my fellow caring nurses asked if I was ok then proceded to make fun of me, WHATEVER!!! Oh well today is another day I am less sore (yesterday was HELL), my lip is still as swollen but my cut is looking better.
