Last week my doctor's offc submitted the request for the insurance carrier to approve my revision RNY surgery.  For those of you who are not familiar with me, I had lap
RNY surgery in 2001, highest weight was 330, I got down to 225 (for like two mins.), and then started back up again.  My stoma and pouch are enlarged, and I am currently 300 lbs.  The last 2 years I have tried to diet, exercise, and nothing seems to have a long term effect.  Believe me I do not take a revision surgery lightly, but feel it is the only option for me at this point.  Any emotional support would be welcomed by my OH friends at this point.  Pray the insurance company approves the revision for me.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  I know it has been tough for you and I am confident that things are going to work out.

I really hope for your sake that the insurance approves your revision....you must be really devaasted at the enlarged stoma thing...and it was not like it was your fault either. Hopefully the revision will bring you to your goals and health!

Thanks for your well wishes Janine.  I appreciate it.  I know this time round I will need the emotional support of other gastric bypass patients.

Trust me after being nearly 7 years out and having a slip about a year and a half ago, it was my fellow wls friends who got me back on track and were here to support me.

I think the best thing was I was honest with myself and with others....but the being honest with myself went a hundred miles for me to succeed and go past where I was before I had the slip.

I just know you have to work your tool revision or not....and please I am not putting you down....you have a medical reason for your tool not working...I had only myself to blame and the gobs of denial.

I really know people are good here and want to see us all succeed in conquering this horrible illness that is called obesity!
