I say keep trying new protein until you can find something you like. Also remember as time goes by your taste changes. I am 7 months post op tomorrow and still drink a potein drink a day.
Have you tried the protein bullets?
Also, greek yogurt is high in protein.

Well that explains why I couldn't find any today.  I prefer my Greek Yogurt more on the salty side, I mix it like a dip and just eat it.  I have mixed it with hidden valley ranch powder and a few other powders that make dips.  A lot of people mix it with sweet stuff.  Make a post about Greek Yogurt and you will get a lot of responses.

Fage Greek Yogurt 20 grams of protein in 1 cup....add to 1/2 cup of Fage apple sauce cinnamon and some SF vanilla syrup...or blend canned peaches- no sugar added and top the fage with that and yummmyyyyyyy. I love this yogurt , could be the spokes person for it. I use it in all kinds of dishes. Use your imagination!!

Congratuations on your surgery!!!

Hi Melissa,

I know at first it is very hard to get in all your protein, but try to get in as much as you can. I don't know what type of program your doctor has you on at this stage, but I try to add protein powder in just about everything...oatmeal, cream of wheat, wholegrain pancakes, I even add it to my homemade ice cream.  Go to "http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com" and she has wonderful receipts.  I have made a bunch of them..and she uses protein powder in a lot of her receipts.

Also on the greek yogurt...I use it in place of sour cream...

You have to add the protein to cold water or milk before mixing it into something hot.

Try some Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Stack protein shake mix. You get 23g of protein in one scoop of mix to 4-8oz of water. I drink it over ice, but that's me. Also, this is the only protein shake that I think tastes any good.

You can get samples from Vitalady.com

I recommend the chocolate and the banana scream (doesn't taste like fake bananas.. very refreshing!).

I completely dislike protein powder and premixed drinks. The smell alone makes me gag and I can't hardly even think about actually swallowing that crap! EWE. Early on, I was able to add a little vanilla powder to some SF FF pudding and it wen down OK. not great but OK.

Then, I discovered Nectar. I have the fuzzy navel flavor right now. I mix it with water and it tastes like juice. It doesn't have  the look or feel of the "other" protein powders. The bad part is it's only available in large containers. The Vitamine Shoppe has a great return policy though.

Good luck!
Sue
