What a slap into reality..
Thanks so much for your honesty. As I believe U will remember, I had RNY surgery in 2001 and now am planning a revision (god willing and insurance approval pending). Anyway, one of the bad habits I got into was not taking care of myself. In fact, I became extremely anemic, my energy level was incredibly low, and I was depressed to boot (which is why I think I didn't think enough of myself to take my vitamins in the first place). THANK U SO MUCH for sharing your journey with everyone. All of us here are not perfect human beings and the support on this board is invaluable. U R always there to give support to others, please think enough of yourself to support yourself by taking your vitamins. I will pray for you, and I look forward to continuing to learn from you.

Thank you for the prayers, and I hope to help you in the future as well..

I don't know you but I just wanted to encourage you to listen to your doctor (and the kind, wise ladies on this message board) and take care of yourself. No one is going to hold your head with your mouth open and shove the vitamins down your throat. You need to take care of yourself as well as you take care of the others in your life.
Rule one... buy the tastiest vitamins you can. Personally, I like the Bariatric Advantage chewables, including the multi, the calcium and the iron. Yes, they can be pricey, but you can pay for them with the money you save not eating huge portions now. Make sure you take one of those sublingual B12's every day, too.
Two, sometimes the cute little pill organizers don't work as well as I need them to. They aren't really airtight, so moisture in the air can expand and/or degrade the pills within a very short period of time... like a day or two. Nothing worse than buying high quality, expensive vitamins and then letting them go bad. I go to Michael's (that overly odiferous craft store) and buy these 2x3 inch mini-baggies. Into each baggie I place all the pills for a day... I typically make up a week's worth of bags at a time. This way I have them, at a glance I can see what still needs to be taken, and they don't get compromised from exposure to air.
Taking care of yourself is much easier when you plan for it. It takes some practice, it really does. One of the ways I helped myself overcome my forgetfulness was to leave a small stash of every kind of pill I take in strategic locations... like my office desk, my car, my bedside, my purse. Just in case. I found that really helpful... before long, I didn't need my secret stashes. Now I just leave some at the office and in the car. just in case....

Good luck and be good to yourself.

---------I pull out my vitamins each day--- and put them in a little plastic jar---and write a list of them on my food journal ( the one I carry in my purse_ I check them off as I go thru the day----- same with water + protein.....most important however it works for YOU.
Best wishes,
Lori
