My local Angelette is devastated!  They cancelled her surgery for today because they shut the program down last week.  She is heart broken.  However, in true Angel duty I am helping her pick herself up and refocus and forge forward.

We are looking for recommendations for surgeons in the Sacramento area.  Mary's parents live down there and would help her out right after surgery.  She's completed all the pre-requisites and was even pre-approved and scheduled!  She's headed to the doctor's office this morning to get copies of all her records!

Let's help out a fellow wanna-be loser!

I would say Dr Ali or Dr Fuller @ UCD in Sac. Depending on her insurance. I'm having my surgery March 2nd, but I know people that have had surgery there. They had a postive experience. Also UCD has the biggest bariatric team in Nor Cal. If you need any info PM me and I'll help you out.

I second Marcy's post!  I am sorry to hear of the practice shutting down, that must have been hard to deal with.  But I wish you well on your search for a new one!  Sometimes things are meant to be for a reason!

I would recommend Dr Waldrep in Roseville. He is a great Dr with lots of experience iwht WLS. He did my RNY in 2002.

I am with Marcy also, I am having  my surgery with Dr. Fuller & Ali, this Thursday, at UCDMC. They took all the tests I had done with another doctor in San Francisco, and got me scheduled for surgery in 4 weeks.

They have a very good track record.

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Laura Machado.  Her office # is (916) 338-7200.  Her office is a Center oF Excellence and I just love them!  She does a monthly seminar the first Monday of every month @ 6pm.  Their  website is www.sacbariatric.com.  Hope everything works out well!  Keep us posted!

I was just going to post Dr. Laura Machado also.  My friend is just starting the process with her and adores her.  She found out about her because Dr Machado did a special on PBS.  I would highly recommend going to one of her seminars!!
