I've never seen anyone on the boards here say they use them. I'm using Bariatric Advantage. You should check with your surgeon about these. The other thing is you need calcium citrate not carbonate, so make sure you check that before you buy any calcium supplements.

Hi Belen,

I use Viactiv calcium chewable 500 mg.  I take two a day....as for my multivitamins and chewabe Iron, I use the Bariatric Advantage.  These are what my nutritionist and doctor recommended.

I take Calcium Citrate with D and magnesium.  One pill, 500 mg 3 x's a day.  That is what I need to take because of being so low in calcium since surgery and thinking I knew more than my doctor.  Ended up in bad shape with bad bones, not any longer, but you really need to check with your doctor.  Even your general practitioner.

Good luck, Diane

Yes, I use them occasionally.  Just keep in mind you need 1200-1500 mg calcium per day

1 chew provides:
500 mg
20 calories
.5 sat. fat
3g carbs (all of which are sugar)

3 a day adds up to a lot of calories if you are only allowed 600/day the way I am.  Most days I'd rather have something else for those calories.  But, if I have my protein scheduled for the day and my water and I want an extra shot of calcium, sometimes I use a Viactiv for a treat.  NOT in plae of my calcium citrate.

If your prone to the carb monster, stay away, these can put you into carb craving mode.
