New to the Board!
Hi! I am new to the CA board - was wondering if anyone had any tips for traveling after WLS -- I hope to have my surgery the beginning of March, and have to travel to So Cal the end of the month. Thanks for any suggestions you may have!

Hello Meleani,
I had my surgery Jan 6th and had to fly to Arizona on the 31st, and I did just fine.. I think every person is different and truly depends on your pain tolerance. You should do fine, just make sure to get out ever hour or so to walk around as to help prevent blood clots. Bringing a pillow to put over you tummy before putting your seat belt on is a little more comfortable that the seat belt directly on your skin. Also you will want to make sure you have all your necessary items you will need, VITAMINS, protein and some food you are allowed to eat at that stage..
Hope this helps hun, and Congrats on your upcoming surgery..
Hugs,
Jenn
