Hi Gina!  Thank you for the reply -- No, I have not attended a WLS Support Group yet, but I just joined the online Modesto WLS Group yesterday but wasn't aware of their meeting - I will contact their group leader and attend tomorrow if I can, and maybe bring my friend, Cindy, who had surgery in January.  Thanks again!  Hope to meet you some time in the future!

Sorry I am late in welcoming you.  I never had a problem with anything when traveling.  Just know that everyday away from surgery just gets better and better.  You should be just fine.  Drive safely down here, you never know what kind of weather we will have.

Thank you so much Diane!  Yeah, I am hoping I will get lucky and it will be sunny and warm while there!  And I am looking forward to the trip - always fun stuff to do in the LA area!  My personal favorite is visiting TV show tapings - lots of fun and it's free!  It doesn't get much better than that!

And thought I would let you know you are in good hands with Dr. Coates. I had my WLS 8/19/09 and had zero complications.
Do you have a surgery Angel yet.?

Hi Joy -- Oh wow, it is good to know someone else who had surgery with Dr. Coates!  Yes, I just found out today that my surgery is going to be Tuesday, March 31st!  I am so excited!
