Hello California,

I am curios to see what multi-vitamins worked best for you. Which would you recommend or not? My nurse told me I can use 2 Flintstones multi-vitamins hummmmm! What do you think?

Well that is what I started with and that is what you should start with if that is what the nurse told you.  You won't be able to swallow pills for awhile.  I now take a multivitamin 2 x a day for women, then 1500 mg calcium, 1000 mg of Vit d and one b12 a weeks plus an iron every night.  I take all pills because I can.  Now that is ME, you need to follow what the doctor says and I mean FOLLOW what the doctor says.  As I have mentioned to others, I got severe osteoporosis from not taking what I was told, hence the reason for the high vit d!  Just make sure you take what you are told, we are all different.

Good luck with your surgery

Diane brings up a good point.  I remember I was on Tropical Oasis liquid vitamins the first 2 months.  They were much easier than the chewables.

Tropical Oasis liquid Tropical Plus
Tropical Oasis liquid calcium magnesium, 1T = 1200 Milligrams calcium citrate
and any sublingual B-12 that gives 1000 mcg

www.Vitacost.com is having a sale on Tropical Oasis.

That's a loaded question.  Everyone's taste is different.  I liked the liquids but outgrew the flavor.  I tolerate the calcium chewables, none of them are good, IMHO.   Maybe you'll love them. ;-)

Hey Sweetie, I take a chewable multi-vitamin from Trader Joes, Vita Calcium Chews, Iron and Monavie.  I have to get you the real names, just wanted to respond.  So happy for you Sweetie!

I found out during my work up that I had low levels of Vitamin D, & B12, my doctor told me that many people who are obese suffer from low level of critical vitiamins in there systems. He started me on Flintstones, Citracal, along with D & b12 weeks before my surgery.
