I've missed everyone!
Dear Lord it's been a long time since I've been on here! If it weren't for Lori and Jenn keeping me updated on the highlights, I would be completely out of touch! It's amazing all the new faces, some that really are new, and others that I just don't recognize anymore because they've gotten so skinny!
Things are going okay. As some of you know, my brother Dale was diagnosed with liver cancer just before Thanksgiving. It had advanced beyond treatment, and we were told that he had a few months to live. We anticipated that he would have until this summer, but he died on 1/29. It all happened much faster than we expected, these last few months have been somewhat of a whirlwind. Our family got to make some much needed amends before the passed, though, which is a good thing.
If anyone is interested in seeing the very sweet but sad slideshow from his funeral:

Okay, I'm not going to get on here and just post sad things, though! Things are going well at work. I'm actually home today because we are doing a new 4 ten hour day thing. Makes for some long days, but the extra day off is totally worth it! And I've become completey addicted to Facebook this last week. My friend came to visit and needed some help setting up hers, which prompted me to set up my own. It's a great way to keep in touch with my family, reconnect with old friends, and share pictures, which of course is my all time favorite thing. Facebook, anyone? Add me as a friend, just look me up! Okay, I've got to get to reading everyone's posts and catch up! ((Hugs!))

I am so very sorry about your brother. Liver cancer is awful, my best friend from High School died 10 years ago from a rare form, and she was the same way. Lived about 6 more months and that was all her poor little body could take.
Now onto some good stuff...HOLY CRAP, you look great! You have done a great job with your WL and you should be so very proud of yourself. I am going over to Facebook now and try and find you and feed my little doggie over there.
Hugs, Diane, whoisjealousthatyouliveinGodscountry

Thanks so much, Diane! Liver cancer is awful. He had so much pain in those last few months, even though hospice did their best to control it.
It is great to see your smiling face; you've always been good about staying on here! I've found myself on here less and less as I get further away from surgery, but I know that I need to never fool myself into thinking that I don't need the support.
You have a little doggie on Facebook? There is still so much for me to learn! I want a little doggie! Actually, I need to get outside and walk my real doggies one last time before it gets dark and the chihuahua eating racoons come out! They are so scary!

Thanks so much, Sweeny. I really do appreciate your thoughtfulness, and your prayers.
I just looked at your pictures, you are so tiny! At first I didn't understand one of your comments, because you said something about feeling 35 instead of 53; finally I realized that you are saying you are 53? You look WAY more like 35 than 53! OMG!
