What tests were required after you finished the classes?  I'm helping my sister maneuver through the requirements.  We plan to appeal the Options classes for the reasons Larra stated.  In the meantime my sis can get a jump on required tests. Thanks !

Tests required after classes:  A current EKG, chest xray and a variety of labs requested by the drs that run the program at Kaiser.  (not just reg blood work, but much more in depth) That is about it.  Those can be completed in a couple of weeks, and are only good for a few months, so I would wait until she gets approved first.

Forgot add, that we were told in Riverside classes, that the SLEEVE is now being done in Harbor City Kaiser.  One of our graduating class just had her sleeve done.

I know there is a ton of blood work, psych, chest x-ray, ekg, I would assume some kind of nutritional meeting, but I am not sure of what else. The test results however are only good for 3 months the doctor said so keep that in mind. Yeah he mentioned the sleeve could be done too at harbor city. I am leaning towards RNY and will probably choose that one. I was just nervous about being turned away since I could not find the proof of all of the things i have tried for the last 10 years. The doctor there said that he didn't need the proof and that he was actually going to change the form to reflect that. I am going to Kaiser Fontana but he did not mention a 6 month diet. I am sure that they will want me to loose my 10% and I am pretty sure that I can do that during the Options classes. There is however a waiting list for the classes but I need that "waiting time" and classes to build up my time off so that I can get as much time off from work as possible. I have a strenuous job at times. Hope that helped. When I find out more I will let you know.

I remembered another test... It is a gallbladder ultrasound so that if you have any stones they can remove your gallbladder at the time of surgery.
