Who's Exercising?
I know, sometimes exercising
can be a chore or even to think about getting to the gym may be a drag. By the time you drive to the gym and get back home, you can literally spend almost 2 hours.
I think exercising is very important for us losers because once the "honeymoon" is over, WE GOTTA WORK AT IT TO KEEP IT OFF!!!!!
Yes, I do think about the time I spend to get there, workout, and finally get home. Today, my mind is set and programmed to spend time at the gym. I do not let it get to me because I know it's going to make me feel good and the muscles that are developing? Looking good!
Anyhow, what motivates you to continue to exercise? Me?
1. I feel great!
2. Results are showing.
3. Lastly, knowing that my blood is flowing and clearing my arteries, veins, and nourishing my body to a healthier me.

I exercise at least 4 times a week at the gym. I do my errands after work, take dinner to my hubby at work at 6:15 and then by 7 I'm at the gym with my IPOD plugged in listening to a good book on tape. When good weather comes, I'm getting a bike. Why do I do this?????
1. I feel better and can move better
2. Things are a bit flabby and disgusting
3. I can keep up with my hubby hiking and can play better.
4. Going abalone diving in June and must be in good physical shape!

Gus,
I hear ya! Finding the time and inspiration to get off the couch and go work out can be very challenging. But everytime I look in the mirror and see what progress I have made since I started this journey is what keeps me going back time after time to my killer trainer!
Happy exercising!!

I am still in the newbie stage as it were. I do walk on my treadmill 3x a day for at least 15 minutes each time. Thats when my knee really starts to hurt and have to stop. But I have been able to increase the amount of time from 5 minutes each time since surgery so I think its getting better.
Have not been released to go to the gym yet but have been looking around at the different gyms and have one picked out when the doctor says it is OK. I am like Maureen and want to get a bike and ride during the good months. I guess you can say that is one of my goals to complete.
Have a good day........Rick

That's great...I was so desperate to take my weight off soon after surgery. The same week of surgery, I walked around the mall. Around the second week, I wanted to feel somewhat normal so I went to the gym and just slowly walked for 30 min.
Good luck and take advantage of losing as much weight as possible during your first year because it gets harder.

Going to the gym has become my new hobby! I think of it as therapy. I feel so much better and energized when I leave. I stay motivated by changing up my routine. I love taking the classes, especially the dance classes (which I wouldnt have had the courage to do 60 pounds ago). If you haven't tried Zumba you are missing something!! I think that going with friends also keeps me motivated!!!! All I know is Iove the sense of accomplishment I feel after I have just finished a hard class and im sore and sweaty!!!
