Michele you are such a good person to help like that. It was the hardest thing for me to do when my dad died. I was just lost because it was like I had to re-live my mothers passing too because dad never ever changed anything or got rid of things of my mothers. It was really weird for sure! She will surely appreciate your help!

I am jealous you get to go on vacation....I forgot what those were....I mean yeah I get days off and stuff and the summer, but to be able to go on a planned vacation.....it has not happened in a long time...things just keep coming up and Jeff is a doo doo about leaving the business for too long. He is a workaholic like me I guess!

Have a great day....

Oh, I love vacations!  I have planned many MINI vacations this summer.  I make 4 or 5 day weekends and plan stuff for me and the old man (if he wants to go).  It's so good for the soul!  April we're going to StageCoach festival in Palm Springs, May we're going to Clear Lake for our annual visit with friends (we make sure we spend at least 1 quality weekend a year with them otherwise we get so busy and forget to nurture our relationship).  May is also the month I'm going to So. Cal. and my GF Rhonda is putting me up for the weekend and the FFCiRJ club i****ting Disneyland!!!  June is our annual camping trip in Cleone / Fort Bragg for a week, July is my 30 year class reunion and 4 G/F and I are renting a house in Mt Shasta for 4 nights!  Guys are allowed, but optional.  Mine will be breezing in, breezing out, doing his own thing.  August 2nd Joe and I will be celebrating our 6th anniversary and so we will pack the bed of the truck with our uber-comfy bed and tent and go down to Bear Harbor.  It's peaceful, quiet and relaxing there.  The elk come right into camp!

Remember - Work is good,  Play is better!

Hey there,

Well I know I'm typing challenged atm, darn nails!  As far as b days, trying not to acknowledge it (failing miserably), but I figure that way I don't have to own how old I am, lol!  This year, it's Friday, the 13th!!  How appropriate!!

Good Morning All!  I too am up early but it's because my hips hurt, again.  I need a new bed!  That's what I'm going to go do today - shop for a new mattress.  The old man's solution is to put another memory foam pad on top but I've had it - new mattress coming up!

I went to the gym yesterday and pushed it.  Not too far, but just enough to make most of the muscles squeel today.  Think I may make anothe trip there today.  If they don't call me into work.  The winds haven'thit yet, but we're supposed to get 50 mph up here.  When the wind blows, I like watching the side fence sway like a ribbon in the wind!  It's so decayed the only thing holding it up now is the tree on the neighbor's side and the kennel on our side!  Its scheduled to be replaced - but in better weather!

I would like to go deliver some blankets I made for three adorable little kids and go by the fabric store and pick out some more frabric.  I have my big back room I need to work on and clean up.  It's my sewing, and craft room and we're gong to yank the carpet out, paint the floor with garage floor paint and put in a bowflex.  But first I need to get rid of all those old clothes that don't fit.  One box I'm going to mail to my girlfriend, but the rest need to go down to the women's shelter.

I'll figure it out here - as soon as the tylenol takes effect!

Good morning Michele and Cali Guys and Gals,

Michelle how awesome for you to help your friends daughter.  This is going to be a very touching day for you both.  Remembering her and how special she was to the both of you.

I am so sorry I missed the coffee yesterday I worked all day out in the yard and doing laundry and playing with kids and kitchen duties.  I even went to Lowes on a quick run and pushed 500 lbs of sand all the way across Lowes and up hill to Kohl's.  My husband bet me I could not do it.  Guess who won.  IT WAS ME  THE MACHO SOON TO BE SKINNY MAMAM!  a.k.a. Peg Bundy.  I was so proud of me, but now I am a little sore but that is a good thing.  Today again it is going to be the garage.  I will get it done today.  I know it.  Well I hope all of you have an awesome day,  Enjoy and do something nice just for you,

Rhonda

You Go Girl!  Peg Bundy ain't got nuthin on you baby!  Good luck on that garage.  I have my space out there (very tiny) that I keep immaculate, but the rest of it is all the old man's!  His work-shop, quad storage, and all that dead-animal stuff.  Me, I get the back room (heating, air-conditioning, etc - princess stuff).

I bet you're sore after 500# up hill!  Next thing you know you'll be towing semi-trucks across the parking lot!  Hmmmm, I keep up my weight training and the pair of us can square off and have a race!

Can't wait till May!  Right now I'm just waiting until my tax returns come back so I can buy my plane tickets.  What's a good pick-up time for you?  I think my son is coming with me but he may go stay at his friends for the weekend.

Good Morning Michele and Cali Friends,

That's so nice of you to help your friend with her Mom's things.  I am and only child so that responsibility was mine after my Mom passed.  It took me several months to even begin to go there.  My husband told me to wait until the time was right and I did, bless his heart.  I found that My Mom was an impecable dresser and a very classy woman, so I kept some of her sweaters that were my favorites and in the distant future, I will be able to wear them!  I would be honored as they are so beautiful.

Today it's raining and I will be in and doing the dirty deed, cleaning out that dreaded pantry.

Oh well, gotta get done.

Hope everyone has a great day, stay warm, dry and safe.

Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning All,

I had the best weekend.  Saturday, I went to lunch with a friend (who shared my birthday) at Mimi's Cafe on Los Feliz (sorry I could not make it to LB Coffee and missed Kirsten too-Darn!). Saturday, afternoon, I finally did make it to Long Beach (Alamitos Bay Yarn Company) to buy some yummy "Yarn Crack" (Cashmere and Silk) for a sweater I am knitting.  I have also starting a pink scarf for Knit for the Cure.  Sunday, I met with my brother and he treated me to a movie (Grand Torino, starring Clint Eastwood), dinner and bought me a bottle of Baby Phat's Seductive Goddness perfume.

Michelle,  that is great that you are helping your friend out.  I grieved all over again, when I had to do that, after my mom died.  I would just see something and start crying.  You are a great friend.

Well everyone, take care and spread move love.

Kim
